2. [PABEAVER] question [1]
Hi, I am new to the list and have not seen much activity on it. My question is I have recently found my GGGrandfather in the census 1880 at the age of 62 (at least I am hoping this is him) Where can I write for a marriage lic. or death cert. It has him listed as Rochester, Beaver, Penna and a widower and living with a Daniel A. Steiner. I would appreciate any and all help and I thank you. Judy in Mo.

----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Reese To: Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 6:45 PM Subject: THOMPSON/WICK I am looking for some help to look up an obituary. Mary Jane "Thompson" WICK, b. 8 May 1858, d. 4 Jan 1939, Ambridge, Beaver County, PA. She was placed in the Orphan's Home, Butler County, in 1863, when her father (My great, great Grandfather) was killed in the Civil War. I don't know if anyone may have access to 1939 newspapers, death certificates, or whatever, but any help would be great
4. Re: [PABEAVER] Pauly Obituary [1]
Kim , Don't hold your breath until you get your hand on a 4 year old newspaper. Not likely. However, several Beaver Co. libraries keep complete runs of the Times and the Beaver paper on microfilm and will do limited look-ups for just a little change. In addition to this, the Carnegie Library in Beaver Falls, keeps actual obit clippings in notebook form...very helpful. Ed edbrobeck@adelphia.net

16. Re: [PABEAVER] Tobias MUELLER family 1860 -1920 PA census [1]
I have researched the Abraham HAVICE family in Beaver Co PA, and found some records from the German Lutheran Church at Zelienople, located in Butler Co PA. There were baptism and confirmation records, as well as marriages for the younger children of this HAVICE family. While census, etc. had shown Abraham's wife as Esther HAVICE, the church records listed their German names as Abraham HEBEISEN and MARGARETTA ESTHER MULLER. There should be the little mark over the "u" which makes it sound like MUELLER

24. Re: [PABEAVER] Tobias MUELLER family 1860 -1920 PA census [1]
Nadine, Yes, my Margaret LAWRENCE who married John HAVICE was my 2nd great; her father, Philip, Jr. my 3rd; and Philip, Sr. the immigrant my 4th great. Sounds like I'm older than you are! Your name sounds familiar but don't remember whether we have corresponded or not! We found both Margaret and John Havice and her parents Philip and Mary C. Lawrence in Franklin Co IN in the 1850 census. By 1860 Philip isn't listed, but Mary C. is living with daughter Susanna Biehler and her family. Marian > ====

In the "Gemeinderatsprotokoll" (record of the village council of Scharnhausen) of October 17th, 1854 with the subject emigration, there exists the record of two two families which apllied and was granted permission to emigrate to the US -- THUMM and MUELLER. In the ship's manifest of the brigade "Johann" that arrived in NY 22Dec1854 from Bremem, both families are included.Although I have extensively researched my THUMM family, I have been unsuccessful in finding the MUELLER family in the America.
