2. Re: [PABERKS] Allemengel Lutheran Church [1]
There was no Allemengel Church per se.... The area of Berks County around Albany and Lehigh County around Lynn Twp was referred to by the German emmigrants as the Allemengal area. So, all churches (Lutheran) in those areas were thought of or referred to as the Allemengel Church. The most common one that people think of when they say Allemengel Church, however, is the Jerusalem Church, also known as the Red Church because of the color it was. 3. military records [1]
Hi maybe someone could help me. My daughter's boyfriend is trying to get in contact with his father's family from his second marriage or even get copies of the military records. How would we go about to get military records for a deceased person? His father's name is on the social security death index. What they really want is to get a picture of his dad. He only had one picture and when told lies he ripped it up. Now as an adult and with his father dying when he was younger he wants a picture again.

12. lookup request, Catherine PAPP [1]
Hi, I would like to know who are my ancestor Catherine Papp's parents. Catherine was born about 1770 in Berks County. Her marriage record in Schwartzwald Reformed Church. She married Philip Spayd, and they lived in Heidelberg Township. There is a George Papp, and a Johannes Papp who served together in the Alsace Township Company under Captain Heinrich Nach in 1784. Could she be related to either George or Jaohannes? Any info would be greatly appreciated. John Sassaman ____________________________
13. Re: [PABERKS] Robeson Twp. [1]
Hello Doraine, Robeson Twp. was created in 1729 when that area of Pennsylvania was part of Lancaster Co. Then when Berks Co. was formed in 1752 from portions of Philadelphia, Lancaster, and Chester Counties, Robeson Twp. passed from Lancaster Co. into southern Berks Co. You ask about a town named Robeson. There is record of a Robeson Station with rail service in Robeson Twp., but I can find no evidence that there was ever a town named Robeson in Pennsylvania. 18. RE: [PABERKS] Bern TWP, Berks vs Lancaster Question [1]
I am trying to understand where my Ancestor Jacob Kauffman (Bern Twp, may have been located in during the revolutionary war. He lived about 5 miles from Shartlesville, in upper Bern. From the period of 1779 to 1781, was this considered Berks or Lancaster County. There are Many records for Jacob, Christian, and Isaac Kauffman in the ARIAS muster records, ect, and most of the muster records indicate Lancaster County. I am trying to figure out if these are the same people. John Sassaman _____________
