Hello to Judith and everyone on the list! There are 2 or 3 of us who
correspond about our ancestors wishing for a Bucks List. This is like an
early Christmas present! So thanks, Santa.....I mean, Judith, for taking
on the responsibility of maintaining it.
Although I don't live in Bucks, I do live relatively close, in Chester

by the Bucks Co. Genealogical Society. It was very informative and I
especially enjoyed it because I

My gr-gr. grandfather James A. McGuire died of dysentary in the Civil War. He was
treated at White Hall Hospital and burried in an associated cemetary.
According to his pension records, this cemetary is near Birstol.
Does anyone know where I might find this cemetary?
Thank you,
Terry R. McGuire

One of the reasons I put the index in the email is the common
misspelling of surnames. When searching for names, it is much easier to
scroll down a page and see if anything is close to the pronunciation of
the surname. Soundex gives so many variations, based on how many
syllables a name has as well as sound. That makes it a bit harder to
scroll through a soundex-based index. I like the ability to scroll down
the neighborhoods of a township.
