3. St Joseph's Church [1]
On a recent trip to Johnstown, a distant cousin showed me a booklet a friend of hers had given her. She has allowed me permission to pass the information on to the list. At this point I'm not sure what is the best way to do that so...if anyone, for now at least or until I can figure out a better way, would like me to look something up please email me off-list at fbobak@pa.net. 5. Charles and Ellen (Shaffer) Tomlinson children [1]
Happy New Year, Listers! I am trying to fill in the info on children of Charles Tomlinson and Ellen Shaffer. In 1900 and 1910, Ellen reported 10 of 11 children still living. I can find 10 listed in various census records, so evidently there was one born and deceased sometime between, probably between 1877 and 1883. This is what I have so far, with no exact dates: William, b ca 1861 Robert, b ca 1863 Catharine or Caroline, b ca 1865 Edward, b ca 1868 Charlotte, b 1870 James, b ca 1872 Wilferd or Wilfred
6. Matilda Eckenrode Malloy [1]
Do I have the wrong Matilda? Matilda Eckenrode, married Frank Malloy. I have Matilda Eckenrode, born 27 Dec 1841. This agrees with census records and Ledoux's Vol II. Her death was on 11 Aug 1901, 633 Franklin St., town not given, Cambria Co. PA. Her burial was 13 Aug 1901, Sandy Vale Cemetery, Cambria Co., PA. The source as Cambria County Death Index, Vol II, p110. I found Frank and Matilda in the 1910 Census, living on Main St. Carrolltown. If she died in 1901, how could she be in the census?

This just goes to show that we all must keep our ears and eyes open whenever we go somewhere to research, when we venture into that antique store, yard sale, flee market, book store, etc. And if you frequent ebay or other web sites that post miscellanious items pay close attention to what you see. This problem is more common that we might think. Sharon "Hundreds of Items Missing From National Archives Agency Is Eyeing Auctions, Internet Sales in Effort To Locate Stolen Artifacts "By Jacqu
