William Pace died in Yorktown during Rev. War from Chicken pox. George Sanders Pace petitioned for pension but could not give proper proof. Both Geor

There is a lot of information about the William Pace, Sr. (m. Mary
Wineinger), who was in George Washington's honor guard, on the Pace Network.
Go to Robert Casey's book and check the Table of Contents. It is in Pace
Family History, sections 5-15 to 5-18. The info was compiled from several
sources.

Mira, For a town this size, we are blessed with several good genealogy

You are thinking of the excellent newspaper collection and reference
library at the State Historical Society of Missouri. But when I mentioned
having seen an entry for Susanna Houchins and John H. Pace in the Houchins
family history, I was referring to a volume in our small Genealogy

sometime ago I posted the names from a deed to property
passed down in my family from John R. Pace. in Fluvanna,VA
They were:
William H.Pace-m. Sarah ?
Francis J. Pace-m.Sarah?
John Walker Pace-b. 1843,m. Rebecca Ann Robinson
Richard Alphonse Pace-m. Mary Susan Gregory(Molly)
Another researcher pointed out the following similarities
to me.
Sons of John H. Pace:
William H. Pace b. 10/10/1745
Francis J. Pace b. 11/03/1764
Are these names common among the Va. Paces??
Well, now, I hope you all had a great time. I had taken off the third week
in July to be with all of you in Texas. I feel really stupid having gotten
it wrong. Next year for sure. Jeff

Hello, everyone. I just attended my first Pace reunion, in Galveston TX last weekend. We met the nicest people imaginable, and what a fun group they are. How nice that Gordon Pace was able to be there this time. The seminars alone were worth the trip, from here in Michigan, and I especially wish Ruth Clark could have had about 10 more hours to speak. I'd been wanting to meet everyone I've been corresponding with these past 2 or 3 years, and the most special treat was meeting my wonderful cousin, Nancy Ann R
Geri correctly pointed out that Francis D. Pace b. 1826 was in fact born to
Francis Pace II and Lucy Davis rather than his third wife Mariah Griggs who
he didn't marry until 1829. Thanks for the correction.

I believe Susanna Houchins is listed in a Houchins family history
I've seen

a Mr. Forbis gave it to the library if I'm not mistaken. I'll look
for this Houchins

Hi everyone.
I just recently discovered PACE roots in my family. Thought I'd share them
with the list.
My great great grandmother was Aurelia PACE born approx. 1810 in Nova
Scotia, possible Chezzetcook or Musquodoboit area. She married Thomas

Aurelia was the daughter of Drury PACE and Mehatible.
Drury PACE was the son of James PACE and Aurelia DUPREE.
Of course the story of James PACE and Aurelia DUPREE is well documented

I am very glad to hear that you are planning to investigate the mystery of
John Pace of Middlesex. This mystery needs someone with your skill and
experience to uncover new clues.
I was wondering what you think of the Baptism record in Hungar's Parish in
1662 which shows a John Pace born to John and Mary Pace. Is Hungar's Parish
in Middlesex County? Couldn't this John Pace, b. 1662, be John Pace of
Middlesex?
And who was this older John Pace?

Jack, thanks. I can't find the Bellamy page now, but maybe by diligent web
searching. That's not my line and anyway I have not personally researched
that far back; I was trying to help Cecil Barton, a descendent of William.
Information I found on the Casey web site stated that there was no proof
positive that William Pace who died in Scott County was the same Pace born
in Goochland. Here is the precise wording:
WILLIAM PACE, SR. (14) is oldest proven Pace ancestor of the authors. There
