1. [PACE] Computer crash [1]
My laptop computer with my latest emails just crashed and I had to get a new one. I can retrieve those emials if I can get Microsoft Outlook (my former email program) working again as I have the .pst file where Outlook keeps its emails backed up, but it is giving me strange messages when I try to set up outlook. Fortunately I have my older desktop with Outlook on it, and I have the new laptop also set up to receive email using Windows Mail. However, I lost two pacepix submissions, think I remember who se
2. Re: [PACE] Barnabas Pace [1]
Actually, the only Barnabus Pace descendant in the Pace DNA project is 119455 whose results were just completed. This is a new participant. Participant 6352 descends from Drury not Barnabus. The Barnabus Pace results fall into Group 3a - the same as the other Richard Pace and Elizabeth Cain participants. I just returned from the Pace Society reunion this afternoon. It was wonderful to visit with all who were able to attend. Rebecca Christensen Roy Johnson wrote: The only Barnab
3. Re: [PACE] Hayden A Pace b. 19 Feb. 1901 [1]
Lois: Hayden Adair Pace was a son of William Hayden Pace. They are closely related to me as I had a couple of Haydens on the female side of my Pace ancestry. They all originate from a large and prominent Hayden family who were among the earliest settlers of the pioneer community of Braintree, MA in the mid-1600's. In fact one of my brother's is named Dwain Hayden Pace. Gordon W. Pace -----Original Message----- >From: Lois Long Carey >Sent: May 12, 2008 10:34 AM >To: PACE-L@rootswe

5. Re: [PACE] M. A. Pace Store -- Saluda NC [1]
I was in the M.A. Pace store just yesterday visiting with Robert Pace. These Paces (3b dna group) descend from Burrell (Pope) Pace and Lydia Woodruff through son Cornelius Pace. The land was built on the land that Cornelius Pace once owned. It used to be called Pace's Gap. M.A. Pace was my 4th great uncle. Saluda is a quaint little town close to Hendersonville, NC and Greenville/Spartanburg SC. Tourism is their major industry. I have heard the Pace Society of America may possibly be meeting in t
6. Re: [PACE] Funding to upgrade.... [1]
Sharon, I answered about the same question earlier this evening from another person from your shared line - (Richmond, John, and Simeon Pace - ?sons of Jesse). There is already one participant from Richmond Pace's line who has upgraded to 37 markers (kit 53888). This participant's results for markers 26-37 are a perfect match to the group results for both Group 3a and Group 3b, so we can already assume that the ancestral results for your line are a match to Group 3 results. Any DNA changes that might

There is a more evidence than that. For a listing of all the sources, go to http://www.pacesociety.org/DNA/donors.html#wales And click the link to the proofs. You will get a list of five proofs plus a lengthy and very believable analysis by Bob Webb. Rootsweb has a policy of no advertisements quoting prices which is why I did not post it online. I will send it to you privately. The offer only applies to upgrades of markers - as a way of thanking current customers. Most of the earlier promotions have been targeting new customers. Those that have tested should be able to log into their accounts to see the reduced prices. Once logged in, click on "Order Tests and Upgrades" in the left column. Then click on the "Standard Orders" heading in the main b

Rebecca, thanks for the correction. I did a quick search on the Donors page and 6352 listed the Barnabus Pace letter as a source. I guess I picked up on that instead of reading the lineage closely. The lineage on the donors page lists Drury Pace as you say. 21. [PACE] Fredrick pace [1]
Hi Joe thanks for the feed back I was on the Pace web site about 2 or3 years ago and I knew that there was some problems with Fredrick. It seemed that Bruce Howard saw it different than the rest so I will read the back messages to find out the results. I have information sent to me from Bob Webb that showed Fredrick as the father of Dempsey but not documented. I will try to contact Lonnie Pace again and see if he has done anything about the DNA he seemed to be receptive to the idea. Once again thanks Jo

23. [PACE] New DNA results for Antony Pace of London [1]
New 67 marker results are in for kit 8179, Antony Pace of London. There were two mismatches for the modal for group 3. One was a two level mismatch; marker 55 (DYS 534) was a 17, two off from the modal 15. Marker 60 (DYS 446) was one marker off. So Antony ends up with 61/67 match with the modal for group 3. Close enought to suggest a relationship but not close enough to prove a relationship. Rebecca may want to comment further on this. You can see the results on the group 3 page. http://www.pacesociety.
