Hello List, I had a lucky surprise {on genealogy.com} and found my Gr. x 3 Grandparents that made it on to the census index for 1870 Clearfield County. I put their name in for a search and they popped up living with a son-in-law and daughter. David and Lucy J. WALKER and family... Hiram Harris shows up in the 1880 with another daughter and h

5. Re: [PACENTRE] Amish-Mennonites [1]
Hi Jim, The last time I visited Rebersburg was in 1998. My ancestors were also from there. On driving into town I actually came across Amish harvesting a field using a horse drawn wagon and equipment. I was told that they ignored strangers, but I waved and they waved back. It was a very quaint picture, and reminded me of my grandfather's farm in Woodward. When I was a child I rode on the back of a wagon drawn by horses while my father and his brothers gathered alfalfa bales on the wagon. That was in

Bill, The Philipsburg Journal newspaper may have covered their obituaries. It is on file in the Clearfield Historical Society, the Philipsburg Historical Foundation, and the Centre County Library. There is a large cemetery in Philipsburg which the CCGS is in the process of publishing. The Spangler notebooks at the Bellefonte library contain many cemeteries in that area, recorded in the 1920s and 1930s. These sources may contain the info you seek. Hope this helps. Hi, Edward Packer b. May 4, 1896 and d. May 8, 1875 (both in Howard Twp, Centre Co.) was son of Jesse and Catherine Williams Packer and grandson of Aaron and Mary Ann Phipps Packer.
