Mary: That royal registry thing is YOUR idea? Sorry I mixed you up with Marvin Miller. If you ever see me, you can hit me. I thought probably it was Marvin Miller, and if not it was a clone. I completely misunderstood. I think all you put in that update was you were going to possibly have a royal/ president registry in the future. My royal ancestry is fully traced out, and mostly through the most common routes of royal ancestry in New England. I have seen books that work on debunking royal ance

6. Re: New Castle, DE/Chester? [1]
Michael, Most simmply, look at a map. Newcastle Co, DE is immediately adjacent to Chester Co, PA. And both counties combined are probably smaller than King Co, WA. Some of my collateral ancestors actually owned farms that crossed the boundary. But because they are separate states, you have to look in different repositiories for vital records, check in different censuses, etc. Will Mickael L. 11. Keller & Large in Chester County [1]
We're looking for information on Keller and Larges who lived in Chester County in the 1700' & 1800s. Specifically, Mary Ann Keller (b. Aug. 4, 1846; m. Dec. 4, 1868 George W. Mann) and her parentage. She was probably born in West Brandywine Twp. Also, her mother-in-law, Tamer J. M. Large, who married Eli Mann from Sadsbury Twp. Tamer probably came from MS. Sue-Ann: From the Chester County Genealogy web site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~pacheste/chester.htm The East Marlborough township page: Cemeteries in East Marlborough Township Unionville Friends Burial Ground (look under "list all cemeteries") There is also a Unionville Presbyterian Church in East Marlborough. I would assume they are related, but we all know what happens when you assume :) If the records have been filmed by the LDS, they would be listed under the Locality Index for Chester County. T

18. your recent Chester County update, royal relatives. [1]
Mary: Thanks for mentioning me in your recent Chester County update. About that royal and presidential genealogical links idea; I am directly descended several times from the Angevin kings of England and more times from their extensive European royal relations via my mother's Old New England ancestry. But my mother's pedigree is two or three hundred pages long! To a good extent on account of these lines. See, lines of royal descent aren't straight lineal lines; they are lines of descent from entire ext
19. Re: Need help deciphering Will [1]
'Do' means 'ditto' on the Census of the same time period. It probably has the same meaning on the will. Sue-Ann
20. Re: Need help deciphering Will [1]
Mary, Don't know of a source for legal terms, but the phrase mentioned by you, "by do paid" isn't a legal term. "do" was an abbreviation meaning "ditto". In other words, "by do paid" means paid by the same person as named in the previous item. Betty

23. Re: New Castle, DE/Chester? [1]
Here is the answer I just sent to Michael. Chester County and New Castle County are adjacent. The four or five southern towns of Chester County share a common history and identity with northern New CAstle County, particularly Mill Creek Hundred and White Clay Creek hundred, and Newark. This area belonged to Penn's London tract. Political boundaries were superimposed on it later. The people in that region never treated the political aboundaries as having meaning, except when they resisted them in s
24. Re: PACHESTE-D Digest V98 #17 New London Cemetery [1]
There is certainly a list of burials in the new cemetery--my father, mother, aunt and uncle are buried there. You should be able to get either a list or an answer re a specific burial by contacting the church directly. If you address your request to Mr. or Mrs. Leon Wilkinson, they should be able to help you. Robert Bacher I thoroughly enjoyed your web page. While scanning your "Surname" list I ran across Ann PENNELL BIRTH: 15 Apr 1668, England DEATH: 12 Dec 1749, Dauphin County, PA. I have a Hannah Pennell in my line Born 23 Jul 1673, Chester Co. PA. the daughter of Robert & Hannah Hyandson. Other children of this couple are, Elizabeth, Ann , Joseph, James, Jane, and William. I wonder if my Hannah and your Ann are sisters. The birth dates are close enough together. Hope I can claim connection to your ancestry!
