Victoria PACK, b. abt. 1862,TN?, m. William TACKER. They had one child I know of, Della, 01-24-1883/07-28-1934, d. TN. Does anyone connect to this family? I would especially like to know if Della had other siblings. Victoria's parents were Francis/Franklin T. Pack and Lovey Nancy Byrd. Francis is the son of Elisha and Harriett ???? Pack.
Thank you,

Okay, the webring is up and running. If anyone has webpages with Pack
research information on them I would really like to see you join the
Pack Family webring. I have to have five sites listed on the webring
before it will be placed on the world wide web for all to see.
Use the address below and follow the directions I've placed on the page:

I just received information on a Thomas Pack descendant family reunion to be
held in October. Anyone interested send me e-mail and I will pass on the
information. These are descendants of Thomas & Hannah Pack, Most of the
family came from Dekalb County, TN. Thomas & most of his family were living
in Dade County, GA when he died about 1845. The majority of the family lines
then moved back into the Dekalb Co.,Tn area.

OK. I'm confused. I'm also a newbie on this stuff so please forgive if I'm
way off base.
My paternal grandmother was Minnie Pack (1885-1985), daughter of William
Sherman Pack, himself son of Jeremiah Pack. Got the records, so unless
someone is way off base in the family, that's pretty solid. Then it falls
apart.
There is some controversy over the wife of Jeremiah. Some charts show Mary
BRIDGES, some show Mary Polly GREGORY, and one I found said Mary Polly
Gregory BRIDGES. Umm, so which is right here?

"MATTHEW WHALEY'S PORTRAIT.
Mr. E. C. Bruce, of Winchester, painted from two miniatures for the College

tried to have the portrait of little Matthew Whaley painted, having observed
that it was named among the Ambler portraits.

some connections and also might be able to help these folks out.

"WILLS OF ARMISTEAD AND TYLER.

Who was Thomas Booth? He was evidently closely related to the Armisteads,
and was doubtless a brother of Capt. Robert's [Armistead] first wife. It is
well to say here, that Thomas Booth's wife was Mary Thomson, daughter of
Stevens Thomson, the Attorney General of Virginia. (See William and Mary
College Quarterly II. 268) After Booth's death she married 2dly, Capt.
Graves Packe.

Hi all. I'm working on getting a webring up and running for anyone who
has a webpage devoted to researching the Pack family. Will let you all
know when it's ready.

Does the site have to be "devoted to" or just "contain a goodly amount
of" PACK family data?
I, for instance, have 150 PACK people and a lot of their non-pack
spouses, such as Farley, Shumate, etc. I also have some Peace Corps
stories and a page of HTML advice with atrocious puns on the theme of
color bars. (Not the segregation kind - the one-line deep blue bar
that says "Did you hear about the cow that ate bluegrass and mood
indigo?")
Mine is the "Ancestors of" kind of genealogy, not the "Descendants
of"
