It is probably the case that these four children were brought in from
another cemetery and buried on this date.

Mary is listed as a seamstress. She is age 51 with a Joseph, 21; and
Carrie, 19; Willie, 15; and Louisa, 13 in the household. Carrie, Willie and
Louisa are listed as attending school. No occupation is noted for Joseph.
All are Ferers. Ferer on the first page and Ferrer on the second.
Hope this helps you.

Nora Ellen OHL born 1877 wife of Edward Elroy Vonada
Nora's father was Ira OHL born 1846
Ira OHL father was George OHL Jr.
I do not have much data of this OHL family except what I have found in census records.

Hello Listers,
I wanted to let the subscribers know that the Clinton County Historical Society has created a scholarship fund, to honor a great Clinton County Genealogist, and Historian. His name is Richard E Winters. Richard has been active in Clinton County for many years. To credit him, he was Advisor for Rainbow for Girls, Bald Eagle Nittany Band and Majorettes. Richard was also very involved in the restoration of the Iron Furnace in Farrandsville, Clinton County in the 1980's, and the Advisorary board
The proper name spelling is Ferree.

Definitely, Ms. Mary Ferer was enumerated as a "Seamstress". If you
were to examine the handwriting of the enumerator on that page one would
surmise it can be nothing else..........

I am still trying to get a live time discussion group going at

Couple of quick questions:
1. Do you have to be available each Tuesday...I work until at least 9ish
but some times later?
2. Do you think someone like me, just beginning this process can offer
anything useful?
Recently a merchant marine sent me two .jpg (graphic) files showing a
Navy Colt Revolver that belonged to Phaeon Jarrett the Colonel or the
3-month 11th P. V. I. The revolver was presented to him by H. L.
Dieffenbach. Does anyone have any information about either of these
gentlemen? I'd like to give copies of the photos to their family
members, if possible.
If you'd like to look at the pictures, they're on my PA in the Civil War
website at:

Dave,
This is wonderful news, and a tremendous honor to Richard. For those who
may be unaware, the vast fruits of Richard's years of genealogical research
have been indexed and are on file at the Ross Library in the collection
known as "Richard's Trunk," as he maintained his genealogical files in the
trunk of his car. They are a gold mine of data on local families.
