Greetings, listers,
I have a question concerning a particular family record I am seeking at this
time --
It is my suspicion that (John) Jacob KRAMER may be my 6th great grandfather.
He died 15 Jan 1811 in Dauphin County, PA. His wife, Maria Catharine
MINNICH, died on 19 Aug 1827 in Dauphin County, PA.
Jacob and Maria Catharine may have had a daughter Elizabeth (c1770?-1830),
who married John KERN and moved to Centre County, PA. She was my 5th great
grandmother. This I would like to prove or disp
I am researching the name Binkley or Pinkley, or any variant spelling. I believe
that they were in PA before moving to Hagerstown around 1790. They moved on to
Ohio between 1815 and 1830.

There is no book that I know of. The cemetery is 350
acres, and it is difficult to track down a grave.

May I join in? I also agree that it does no harm to post eBay listings. I
personally haven't seen so many of them that it wastes my time. They ones I
have seen relate to the county of the posting and they may well find someone
who is really interested in bidding. There could be a rule that they have
to relate to the county of listing and should be genealogical (or
historical) in nature.

I know where this is headed, as an admin myself, I don't like to see the
list get off topic but the list is the topic at the moment so I think all
this is relative. at least for awhile.
Having said that, thanks Jamie for what you try to do. It didn't go
un-noticed, at least by me, that you have not been selling YOUR wares.
Please feel free to post on the Reichert list any time you like.

I can go to Zion Luteran Cemetery and see if I can find Phillip and Mary's
headstones for you. I live about a mile from there. If they are there I
can take a digital photo and send it to you. Many of the headstones there
are unreadable however. We currently have snow cover but as soon as I can
take care of this for you, I'd be glad to do it.

I am on 238 message boards, only to email when and if there are "rare" or
unusual items that I find on ebay, epier or booksbybid auctions. This is one
of them. I search and post "only" if I feel it cannot be found anywhere
else, but do advise to search other places to make sure it cannot be found
cheaper.

Hello Justin,
First - I have done research in Dauphin County court house, most are helpful
when I was there but to my surprise, NOTHING was on computer when I was
doing my research a little over a year ago. I searched for any kind of
records. I found some marriage license applications but had to go down to
the dungeon style basement and carry all the large books upstairs to make
any copies. Maybe things have changed there, I'll be anxious to hear what
others have to say.

The Miller I have is Elizabeth Miller, daughter of John Miller, born 1731 in MD.
John was the son of Han Johann Michael Miller, born 3 Oct 1692 in Steinwenden,
Pfalz,
Germany. Elizabeth Miller married Jacob Binkley, the son of George Binkley from
whom I am descended. They were married in in Hagerstown, Washington Co. MD. I
think I've come across the Fuck name also in Maryland, but don't remember in
what context.

Folks:
At the risk of being "voted off the island", I would like to suggest a
solution to the recent discussions. Two free mailing lists exist for the
express purpose of uniting researchers with various items of genealogical
interest. Postings include items for sale as well as items found by helpful
people simply trying to find a home for material they encounter.
The lists are "SOMEBODY'S LINKS" and "MISSING LINKS". Both are managed by
Julia Case, and can be accessed via http://www.petuniapress.
I want to pass this along..........

Hi, I have a book on Schuylkill County 1890 called a directory of the 11th
census.
(Please note that it doesn't give the ages of the women, guess we don't
count)
Tower City, Porter township:
Miller, Jeremiah, 26, Laborer
Mary
Sarah
Robert 23, Miner
Daisy
Thomas --no age
and: Tower city: (looks like father died):
Miller, Mary
Sarah
Hanna
Charles 9
There are other Miller's in T.C. but these are the only ones with Sarah and
Mary. They may be of no help because the book lacks the ages of the
girls/women,

I just discovered my Dauphin County, PA roots and want to see if anyone
else out there is researching this family. I descend from Johann
Henrich Albright/Albrecht b. Mar 31, 1760, d. July 5, 1820 and his first
wife Catharina Elizabeth (Schohf?) through their son, John, b. Jan 9,
1796. John married Sarah Shafer about 1816 and they had children: Mary
(m. Harry Nelson), Elizabeth (Jacob Darger), Susan (Robert Noblet),
Joseph (Catherine Darger--my line), Henry (Savina Wirick), Rebecca
(Isaac Snyder),
I'm researching a Jonas Emerich/Emerick who was born Sept 5, 1841 and died
July 1,1916. His children were Albion P., Maude E., Agnes, Ellen and Clara.
Clara married a Kennedy. I am especially interested in her. Jonas' parents
were Susan and Samuel.
Thanks,
Susan
