I am trying to locate information on a Nora Koons (born ca 1900) that
supposedly married a Harvey Buck. I did locate a Nora Koons (age 19/servant)
on the 1920 census living in Dauphin Co., Conewago Twp. with a Henry
Buck/family. There is a son Harvey (age 35, single) also listed with the same
family. I think Nora died after 1950 but before 1969.
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm new to the list. I'm looking for the Adam Roberts family of
Grantville, PA. I believe the family was originally from around Philly, then
moved to Kent Co., MD, then to Grantville. I have tried every historical
society and archives and all say they have no record of them. I know they
were there from a diary of my Great Great Aunt. I found her buried in a
cemetery in Harrisburg a few years ago. Also, the family has some diff.
middle names and I can't trace the origin. Here is the fami

Karl Fox did an exhaustive search for cemeteries and published the results
of his work in a book that sells for about $25. It does not list who is
buried any of the cemeteries and there is no guarantee that he has all the
cemeteries that there are but he sure has more than most other people know
about. He has pictures and maps and directions of how to get to each if I
remember correctly. If you got the book you could check them off as you
get information. You can reach him at Karlfox9@aol.com. If

I purchased a large oval picture frame at an auction. There is a photograph
of a Mrs. Sarah Strobecker, Steelton, PA in the frame. I would guess that it
was probably from the 1930's or 1940's. If anyone is searching this family,
and would like to have the photograph, I will be happy to give it to you.

Prior to 1780 Cumberland County included the south western
and central portion of Pennsylvania from the Susquehanna River
to the Ohio border. Northumberland was erected in 1772 and
it also covered a large area at that time. Dauphin County was
taken off of the northern part of Lancaster County in 1785.
When you get to Harrisburg go to the State Museum and see
if they have the Genealogical Map of the Counties, only cost
about $1.00 but can help you with the formation of the counties.
Good Luck.
Marcia
I believe I have a picture of the St John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg if
anyone would like to see it. It sits on the top of a hill/mountain
(depending on where you are from as to what you would call it) but it is a
beautiful area.
