if the marriage(s) took place in Chester/Delaware cntys, PA area or in OH

Does anyone know what became of Thomas and William PENN after 1732? Did
they stay in this country? Where did they settle? Did they die here? What
state and county?
John Penn, son of William Penn, did not die in Kent County, Delaware, but
because of his property owned in this county, his will was probated there
August 13, 1747, after being probated in England nearly a year earlier.

I had a similar problem with an item purchased from Germany. (US Postal
Service doesn't even have an arrangement with them--so even IMOs were not a
possibility.) I solved it by going to the AAA Auto Club and buying Deutch Mark
traveler's checks. You might try that route.
The current exchange rate is 1.4578, or at least it was yesterday. That
means all I want or need to send to the UK is just under $5. I mean, I
don't want to sound toooo cheap here. It just offends me to have to pay $15

Just a short month ago I could go to ancestry.com, do a search on my family
surname and one of the FREE choices would be the Family Message Board for
that surname.
Now, all of a sudden, such a search does NOT bring up a choice of the
Family Message Board for that surname. I never bothered to bookmark the URL
for my surname's message board and now I don't know how to find it!
This was a DIFFERENT Family Message Board than the one for the same surname
at genforum.com and I don't see that those messages
Anne,
Nancy Webster (websternv@aol.com) is descended from the Claytons and Reynolds names mentioned on the list. She's leaving tomorrow for a conference in Williamsburg, but I'm surewhen she gets back she'll help you out. She's done considerable research on these lines.

Hi, Lister's,
Where do I go to find out more information on the donation of property
that my Great Grandfather, Howard Baker gave NetherProvidence to build
South Media's fire house? Would that be at Media Court House? Since
there was no sale or any transaction to trace, would there still be
records?

Hi Helen-
I have found that if you find an occupation on the census (or in a directory)
that you don't know what it is, by checking the occupations of his near
neighbors, you can sometimes get an idea of whether it is a steel mill job, or
a textile mill job, etc. FActory workers tend to live together in the same
neighborhoods.
I had a guy who was a "catcher"- well he was not on a baseball team. His
neighbors were rollers, foundrymen, etc. So I think it is some sort of job
where he caught the piece of

How many of you have contributed to or utilized the Migrations project to
find or identify your ancestors? A great project! Check it out at:

I have completed typing in the Joshua Eyre HANNUM genealogy, and have made a
list of the Robert EYRE and Ann SMITH descendants. I also have them in a
seperate Gedcom now.
These are not yet in my on-line file.
If anyone would like the .rtf or .ged file, let me know. if then anyone has
something to add, would love to hear from you. and if anyone doesn't want
their info sent out on this, let me know. I use the "remove living" options

Dave,
I responded to this suggestion several months ago, I believe. The Minshalls were Quaker, not Amish. There were no Amish that I know of who lived in Chester and/or Delaware County.
I'm curious: What ever gave you the idea that they were Amish?

Has anyone tried to purchase genealogical records, etc. from the UK lately
wherein they HAVE to provide the purchase price in British pounds when the
"Seller" doesn't accept a credit card?
Last year Ruesch went up to $15. I just called International Currency
Express and they've been bought out by another company and THEY are
charging $14+ per transaction. The item I want to purchase, a CD with a
membership of the Society of Merchant Venturers from 1500's to 1972, only
costs #3 which is about $5 US.
