I am transcribing Civil War letters of 1862 written by a 17 year old lad
from Chester who sailed from Camp Curtin, through Chester, to Fortress
Monroe. He mentions what appears to be the Erusions Line of Steamers. Could
anyone please confirm, or correct, the name of this line. Thanks for any
assistance.

I show a Thomas Hall who married Mary Scarlett, daughter of Humphrey Scarlett
and Ann Richards. Humphrey wrote his will in 1745 and it was probated in
1746 so Mary would have been born well before then. The will references her
husband, Thomas Hall. I am extrapolating that Mary was born about 1720 and
then Thomas Hall about the same, though most likely a little earlier.
I also have a Thomas Hall who was the father of Cecily Hall (b abt 1700) who
married Robert Chamberlain, Jr. (1694-1731).

I was wondering if any one on the list ever heard of a place called Cloud
Creek in Delaware County. An excerpt from a book titled A History of
Delaware County, Pennsylvania and its People by John W Jordan published
in1914 stated that Thomas McAleese married Margaret daughter of Dennis Kelly
of Cloud Creek. Thomas being my GGF. I believe they were married between
1849-1850. I was wondering if Cloud Creek was a town, village or name of a
homestead. Any help will be appreciatedl

Hi Listers
Looking for information on the location/address/telephone# of James Thomas Osman, born 25 July 1931, baptized 21 Feb 1933 in Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon, PA. James family moved to Chester, Delaware County in the 1950s, etc. and I am hoping continue to live there today. Several Osman researchers including myself have tracked down a family bible which may be in the possession of James which would be of immense importance in tracing many Osman lines of Dauphin County from the 1780s.
Hi all,
I recently visited the Delaware County Historical Society to do some
newspaper research. I copied one page of notices and before I file it away,
thought maybe someone else's ancestor is on here too...
So here's the short list -- it's just notices, no articles. This is all the
copy.
Hope it helps someone.

I am searching for information on Harry SHAFFER. We do not know his DOB at this time - suspect early 1890's or late 1880's.
Harry Shaffer is listed at 715 Upland St., Chester, PA as a Mach. Oper. in the Spencer's Directory, 1917-1918. We are trying to find out what happened to him. Also was he originally from Chester, was his family? If someone has access to the 1910 census for Delaware County, PA, I sure would appreciate a look-up to see if he shows there at that time.
