http://www.library.phila.gov/libserv/eref.htm IF you have the exact date and persons full name the library will look it up for you. They usually charge $1.00 and bill you through email. Hi list, Would anyone know what cemetery in Darby or Upper Darby a James B. McCORMICK would have been buried? He d. in Philadelphia 8 Aug 1841. He was b. 3 Dec 1812 but the place of birth is really unknown because census records give NJ, DE & foreign born. Helen, Would you mind seeing if there is a Leonard Snyder born about 1782 or so, He was still living in 1850 but not sure if he was shortly after. Hoping to find a Will or something that shows his wife, children,etc. Don't know wife's name. I believe he may have been a widower in 1850 he lived in Darby, Delaware County, De. Hello All, First, I apologize to those who may receive this more than once because I am cross-posting to get the best answers. I have many old photos and newspaper clippings from the 1800's and early 1900's which have been passed down stored in shoe boxes and the like. I was thinking of storing them in 3-ring binders inside of Avery page protectors. I will not be pasting or taping them, just placing them in loose.
