Hi there. I tried this yesterday but never saw my query .I'll try again. Thanks for the list Mary. George Smiley was married to a Mary?????? I am wondering if she a was Carr. As their oldest child was James Carr Smiley. Anybody know of them? Also James married a Sara Ann Taylor They were married in 1854. However the first child (Ellen Smiley ) was born 1852. Hello. I am very new at this and I do not know how to ask for help, so please forgive my informality. HELP!! I am searching for any LOOPER (LUPER/LOPER/LUPPER) prior to 1790. My ggggrandfather was Daniel Looper(Luper). He died between March and August 1808 leaving a widow Sarah and eight children who are accounted for (I think) He is listed in the 1790 census as being in Iredell Co.
