Anne,
According to Cope, Margery Hannum, not Sarah, was Anthony Baldwin's second
wife. She was certainly his wife when he signed his will in June 1753 and
when it was proved in 1760. The fact that all five of the Baldwin children
were baptised on the same day indicates to me that they were not originally
members of St. Paul's where they were baptised. Joseph Baldwin, baptised 1705
married at St. Paul's Church in 1712\13, and he was the eldest child in the
family.

Dear Philip,
I just did a lookup for someone else on William and Rebekah (Hewes) Booth. It appears that William Booth was the son of Robert Booth who was the son of Robert and Betty (Caston) Booth of Chichester.
William and Rebekah had the following children:

Mary b. 6/15/1775
Elizabeth, b. 2/15/1773
Robert, b. 4/15/1775

Benjamin, b. 5/29/1780***

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the list and I am trying to

The two sites below reprint old family histories. If you buy a
book they send you a catalog free. You can probably order the
catalog separately. The catalogs are interesting to read.

Eddystone is having a 100 year anniversary of their Fire Co. and thought this

Philip,
There's extensive info on the Booth family on the Bethel Township website:
http://www.twp.bethel.pa.us/bethl15a.htm
and also in Ashmead's "History of Delaware County" at:

Use the Search feature on the homepage to search for the various Booth
names you mentioned.
(Note that the current Delaware County was actually part of Chester County
until the late 18th century.)
Coincidentally, I know Tom Booth (of Bethel Township) fairly well. He's
also a direct descendant of this lin

Dear Lister's,
I have been searching for my ggg grandfather for some time now. I have

Hi Helen,
Although not a DEWEES descendant, I have done a little research on them
(they married, later on in my PAVEY family in Indiana.) DeWees/DeWeese is
an old DE/MD name and there is a DEWEES family organization that has tons of
research on the family. A good search engine might really be able to help
you ... I wish I had a current address for them to send to you. Good luck.

Good morning,
Yesterday, I was at the Delaware County Court House doing
research for a client. I used the Will Dockets & went to use
the Birth & Death Dockets, upon doing so, I noticed the Death
Dockets were missing.
I finished my research in the Birth Dockets & went to the desk
& asked very politely for the Death Dockets. The clerk told me they
were right there--nodding to the racks of dockets. I replied, "I'm
sorry but they are not there." I could tell she was miffed as she got

Dear List;
I am new to this list and am endeavoring to connect my Benjamin Booth (b.
May 1780) to William Booth of this county. I believe that Benjamin was his
son. I am also trying to take the connection back to Robert Booth who came
from England 1713 married to Elizabeth Caston (Gaston).
Any BOOTH(E) info would help.

Would anyone on the list have any access to Early Marriage Records of
Delaware County, I am trying to determine when & where my GGreat Grandparents

not sure could be Kelley). As far as I can determine they were probably
married between 1849 -1851. They had some connection to St Charles Borremeo

of which 3 died in infancy.I would appreciate any inf
A humble suggestion for those who forward URLs to the list: it would be a great
service (and help minimize disappointment for that dreaded "file not found") if
you would, when you forward a URL to the list, first test the URL to see whether
it actually will take us to the site that you have found.
I have discovered that copying and pasting a URL into an email does not
necessarily guarantee connection success. For some reason, known only to computer
experts, sometimes when you try to return to a URL you are
