It depends on which SSDI you are using. Genealogy.com's SSDI hasn't been updated since 1997. FamilySearch.org webpage doesn't note the last update. Rootsweb.com webpage states that it was last updated March 2003. For a comparison of the SSDI searchengines, go to http://searchforancestors.com/archives/vol12.html Kathi > Can anyone tell me how current the social security death index is? 16. RE: [PAFAY] REED FAMILY [1]
Sue, I am researching a Reed family in Fayette County, but don't think it is the same one you have mentioned. None of the given names are familiar in my Reed line. What I know about my Reeds is that Adonijah Reed was born in Fayette County in 1794, and believe his parents were James (one of hundreds) and Elizabeth Reed. Think he had a brother David and a sister Sarah. We do not have concrete evidence of these Reeds, but an early written book gives the birth date of Adonijah. David Reed, my g g g g gr

Following is the information I was given about the readers in the library; this conversation took place over a year ago. First, I was told that the readers were too old for them to get the parts to repair them. Then I was told that they had been allocated the money to buy new ones (or one new one; not sure), but, it was a matter of deciding what model to purchase. Then I was told that it was ordered, and they were waiting for it to come in. Eventually, I quit asking about it. 95% of my obits come from
