1. [Pafayett-L] Victoria, Pennsylvania [1]
Hi- I am wondering if Victoria, Pennsylvania, is in Fayette County? Victoria is where my Mother was born, and by the map I have looked at, I couldn't tell if it was in Fayette or not. If someone could clarify that, I would be very grateful. Thank you- Sheryl Behling _______________________________________________________________________ Free Unlimited Internet Access! Nobody has mentioned that the Civil War Pension Index is on-line as of last week at Ancestry.com (look under recent data bases). What is so neat is when you find an ancestor on the list, you select view and the pension card pops up for viewing. Jack, In FAMILY SEARCH most of your names are listed in Ancestral File: Mary Jackman, Shull/Scholl, and Knisely/Kniesly. Members of the same family often spelled the name differently. Have not yet found a connection with my Kniesly names, though in York Co. also. There is also a Martha Toot, but not married to Shull. 11. [Pafayett-L] Re; Greenlick Cemetery [0.978397]
Thanks Ed for the prompt reply: We have searched for that cemetery online in the past, but have no reference anywhere to it. We understand that only since 1990 has Greenlick Cemetery been owned by Paradise Methodist Church. ("Karen" had answered some queries we had posted a number of months ago, and helped us find this information.) We hope that someone will eventually be able to survey Greenlick Cemetery and get the names online, especially those in the oldest section. We have an ancestor who was buried

15. [Pafayett-L] Giles House [0.978397]
Hi listers, I'm still trying to identify Elizabeth GILES', (my gg grandmother's), father. The 1810 census for Fayette county shows Jacob GILES living in Dunbar township with two daughters who could be Elizabeth. Does anybody know anything about the building of GILES house? The first reference I find to it is Isaac MEASON moving in in 1815. "History of Fayette County, Pennsylvania" gives the impression that it got the "Giles House" name from Thomas GILES who lived there from about 1860 to 1880. I
