I am tring to find out more information about John MOORE born abt
1762 in Ireland and believed to have come to America in 1780. He settled
in ther Path Valley,Fannett Twp., Franklin County, PA and married Nancy
McCURDY in 1788-90. She is the daughter of Hugh McCurdy and Jane COOK. I
have a fair amount of information about the McCurdy family but do not
know much about the family of John and Nancy nor do I know much about
John's ancestors. I do know that John Moore and Nancy McCurdy had 10
children, 3 boys an

"The Caledonia Iron Works were constructed in 1837, by Thad. Stevens and
James D. Paxton, in Greene Township. These men were the firm until 1848,
when a heavy indebtedness caused a change, and Stevens bought out
Paxton, and assumed the entire indebtedness. The new proprietor put Mr.
Wm. Hammett in charge as superintendent, who filled the place for 20
years, and was succeeded by Mr. John Swaney who had charge of them at
the time of their destruction in 1863
Does anyone have any information on Martin & Eliza Hauldman in
Franklin County in the 1870s. Their daughter Alice (who was born in
Germany, Oct 15, 1858) married my great-great-grandfather, Rev. George
Westley Perrey on Nov 4 1875. Any info on this family would be most
welcome. Thank you.

Looking for any information on the family of Matthew William Fegan
(1809-1888) who married Mary A. Doyle (1811-1854). William remarried after
Marys death to Catherine Croft (?-1876). They resided in the Doylesburg,
Franklin Co., Pa. area and are buried in the Catholic Cemetery there. Marys
father gave her a family bible in 1837 as well as to her other seven
siblings. Was wondering if this bible was still in existance? Have found
the existance of two others and trying to locate if there are any others
around
I am looking for more information on my Bricker line. My gg grandfather,
Andrew Jackson Bricker, was born in Ohio. The 1850 census of Coshocton
County, Ohio show both his father, George (33 yrs old) and mother, Lydia (28
yrs old) were born in Pennsylvania. Other research I have done shows that
George and the former Lydia Carter were married in Coshocton County, Ohio on
September 17, 1840. It appears Lydia's fathers name was James Carter.
Another family close to the Brickers in proximity on the 1850 cens
Does anyone have any information on the family of Jacob and Rebecca
Jones. In the 1850 Federal census, they appear as follows: (all were
born in PA). in Quincy Twp,
Jacob Jones 40 Laborer, Rebecca 37, George 15, Henry 13,
Frederick 11, Catherine A. 9, William 7, Susannah 5, Mary E. 3,
and Anna R. 1
In the 1860 Federal census in Southampton Twp they appear as:
Jacob 54 day laborer, Rebecca 45, Wiliam 19 Teacher, Elizabeth
14, Ann R. 10, Jacob 6, Susannah 16.
I believe jacob died
Since Franklin, Washington and Westmoreland county are part of the
Western Pennsylvania region, I want to offer to sent info to anyone who

for Hamils who moved from Fraklin County to Fulton Co in the early 1800s. I
have a considerable amout on them over there.

Is anyone aware of any histories of Thaddeus Stevens forge in
Caledonia. Both my great(4) and great(3) grandfathers, Benjamin and
James P. Tolbert worked there prior to the Confederates burning it
during the Civil War. Thank you.
