My 3ggrandfather is John BRANTNER (same family, different spelling) who was born in 1801, Montgomery Twnshp. John married Susan UNKNOWN, born in the same township in 1810. They married in 1829. Is anyone following this family or have any information concerning it? The SNYDERs were from Washington County, MD and I suspect tha

9. Re: [PAGENWEB] Software [1]
If you have FTM 2008 you can request the free upgrade to FTM 2009 on Ancestry.com. I think this is a one time deal. FTM08 was so full of bugs that rather than sending out a bunch of patches they offered the upgrade to 09 free. Ancestry.com now owns FTM and with the 2008 version they did a major revision of the software. Now that I have FTM 2009 I really like it - but, in order to take full advantage of it you have to subscribe to Ancestry.com Ron Wall Visit our family at www.whitsett-wall.com ---

Dear group, I want to share this with you. I have and use FTM 2008. i can use it ok but thought there might be something better. I was seduced by the graphics so I ordered Legacy7 Deluxe. What i have found is, that for me, its too complicated. I am not very computer wise and new to genealogy. I think it would be great for someone who knows a little about computers or maybe if someone started with it and didn't know anything else. The tutorial is 52 minutes long so by the time i get to the end iv

I use Legacy which is a free program and very good. I purchased the deluxe version for some added features, but the free version works excellent. go to legacyfamilytree.com. and download the free version to see if you like it. I gave up buying Family Tree Maker years ago when they came out with a new version every 6 months and expected you to buy it. I have over 3500 individuals in my database, along with some information about many of them. The print out is fine. Warren ----- Original Message -----
16. Re: [PAGENWEB] Software [1]
Ancestry offers Family Tree Maker and you only need to purchase once. The subsequent following year enhanced package is free if you request it. Afterwards, if major changes occur, you may purchase the never version or not. The older version will still work just fine. I bought FTM08 and now received FTM09 for free. If and when a newer version comes out, I will consider how it will impact my tree of only approx. 2200 individuals. I do believe your Legacy deluxe version will be doing the same. You are c
