I cannot see any manifest. If you go to a public library you can search Charlotte Fischer and you will see what I have sent. There is a link you can see below that says "Search Ship Database: Search the Manon in the Passenger Ships and Images database but when I go there is says no record found. The only thing I could send is a printout of the passenger list and you can see it written out. If so thank you

8. Re: [PAGENWEB] Pennsylvania Train Wrecks, Fires & Other Disasters .... [1]
If anyone has Archeological aspirations or connections, there was a train wreck in the 1920s (give or take a decade)on the banks of the Susquehanna River just south of the West and North Branch convergence in Shamokin Dam where the RR made a 90 degree turn to go over the River to Sunbury, PA on the other side. Well it seems one Engineer running late was going a little to fast for the curve. Some of the train went into the old Canal mud, the locomotive was sucked into the mud due to its weight. The box cars

12. Re: [PAGENWEB] MY BRICK WALL [1]
Coleen, I checked Heritage Quest with my library card and could not find any listing of your person on any 1800, 1910, or 1820 census record. You might go to Rootsweb.com and enter the name in the inquiry section and see if some one replies. Another place to look is familysearch.org. These also have been a help for me. I have had some results listing the name on Google or Yahoo. Keep trying. Warren ----- Original Message ----- From: Coleen Coleman To: pagenweb@ro
13. Re: [PAGENWEB] MY BRICK WALL [1]
I tried one more thing...2 men are reported as HOH in the 1830 census report for German, Fayette Co. PA with the name of Jacob Mack. Also, in the same census report year (1830) a variety of families show up in various places in PA with names like Grawl (mostly Graul...but other variations as well). The names reported in the early censuses often were spelled differently from census to census. This obviously creates annoying difficulties when trying to do research. Good Luck...drew -----Original Messa

Just one more bit about Heritage Quest -- beside the ability to use it from home with your library card, many of the NARA offices used to (I haven't been there in awhile now) had it on-site.B I found it was extremely useful to be able to look things up on HQ, and then go to the Archives resources right there as a cross-reference tool.B If you have a regional office of the National Archives, it's helpful to check on what resources they have available, as well. smg _______________________________________

A James Mack of the appropriate age shows up in the 1830 census for Henry Clay Township, Fayette Co. PA. So, perhaps you want to concentrate your search for his parents in this Twp. and Co. James (apparently the same man based on his reported age) subsequently shows up in the 1840 and 1850 census report for Jasper, IN. He doesn't seem to show up again, so he probably died before 1860. You might want to see if any churches in Jasper have a record of his death. Further, their might be a record of a will,
