Is anyone on this list researching the surname KELSO? I note that there are 14 KELSOs buried in the Bethel U.P. Church cemetery in N. Beaver Township. There seemed to be a significant number of people from Lawrence County, especially in North Beaver Township, who moved to the area near Oakland, Pottawattamie County, Iowa. I am wondering if he is the son of Jacob Shaffer b 1775 Germany d 1825 Lawrence, Pa. other children were James Paden Shaffer b 1802 & Abraham b 1812. Jacob's parents were Frederick & Sabina Shaffer b Germany, came to America 1785 on Brig-Lydia from Amsterdam, had 8 children.
