1. Re: [PALUZERN] BROWN & ROOD? [1]
Mike, Do you have any other information about these two people, especially birth dates, which would establish a time frame for identifying them. David Mike wrote: > Looking for anyone researching these names > > Especially married name - Letta Brown and Chass. E. Rood > > Mike Wennin

3. [PALUZERN] HOSPODAR, Paul Married in the Scranton Area ? Year [1]
Awhile ago I had posted a message to the list about my great-uncle Paul Hospodar. I had been unaware that he had come to the US and apparently settled in the Scranton area until I came across a photo of the wedding sent to my grandparents. I have made contact with a grandson of a Paul Hospodar from the area, but it turns out its not the CORRECT Paul Hospodar. So... I'm trying again and hoping that someone out there has some info. Paul HOSPODAR is the son of Mihaly and Anna KOSCSO HOSPODAR. He had at

5. [PALUZERN] Help - what resources in Luzerne can help find parents names? [1]
I am researching an ancestor who died in December 22, 1897 in Miners Mill. I have been unable to find the name of his mother and am at a loss as to where to look since the county did not issue death certificates. His obituary does not list his parents names. His name was Samuel Skidmore. He was born in England about 1820, but I have been unable to find Christening records. His marriage records lists his father, but not his mother. His obituary does not list where he was buried (so I cannot check for a
6. My "Sleep" Relatives [1]
I am a descendant of William, Walter A, Walter S, Thomas B., George S. and John Skelton Sleep. John Skelton Sleep was born 1821 (England) and died 1884 (Nescopeck?), was driven out by the Molly Maguires (evidently quite a story). He was a Wesleyan Minister. He married Caroline Whitburn of Cornwall, England (before they emigrated) and their daughter Caroline married John Nelson DePue/DePew, my GGF. John Nelson DePue/DePew was born in Nescopeck, Luzerne Co. and died in Hazleton. Do any of you out the

Phyllis - The Timms family seem to have moved to Plymouth in the 1860 census and then probably to Pittston since an Alva Timms, aged 13, died there in 1893 and it stated he was formerly from Plymouth. I guess you are looking for the earlier Alva. Eleanore

17. Re:[PALUZERN] Andrew Breznicky (Breznicki)/1910/Hazel Twp. [1]
Here is where careful attention to detail would be helpful. You need to clarify your request. Do you mean to say that he wasn't naturalized until 1913? And was it the 1920 census in which you found Julia and the two children? If you found them in 1910, then he was away from his family somewhere. Generally speaking, the census tried to count all residents, whether citizens or aliens. We still have problems today with those who do not have permanent homes. The 1910 miracode index (as well a
