Am looking for information on my great-great grandfather, Hawley White who
resided in Farmers Valley, McKean County, PA with his sister Sarah D. (and
perhaps other family members) prior to his marriage to Roseilla Wixon, May 4
1854. His father, perhaps named Richard B. White died about 1834 and his
mother who may have been Betsy Wheaton White died January 18, 1852. There
was an individual who signed his name "C. L. White" who attended Hawley's
wedding.
If anyone can help me piece together information on
Is there an index for marriages in McKean County?
I wondered if there was one for McKean published.

SHEILA'S CORN
Hi!
My grandmother's birth certificate lists her mother's place of birth as
Fullerton, McKean, PA. I can't seem to locate it on a map. Was there ever
such a place? I appreciate any and all help.

A publication of Biographical Sketches from the book entitled "History of
the Counties of McKean, Elk, Cameron and Potter Pennsylvania" by J. H. Beers
and Co, Publishers, 1890 lists C. Y. White of Otto/Eldred. Is there someone
who has access to this publication who would be willing to check if this
sketch gives any info on the families of
Hawley White or Richard B. White who may have been Hawley's father?

Have any of you ever heard of the surname HARDHOUSE?
I was looking for my Pennsylvania TOY relatives and I found in the LDS
internet files that a William M. TOY married a Catherine HARDHOUSE in 1866
the same year my William M. Toy married his wife in the same place, McKean
County.
I was always told her name was C or K atherine Weldon but now I am wondering.
So I went looking for the name HARDHOUSE and I cannot find it anywhere.
Is there such a surname?

I have always been told and I thought my great grandmothers name was
Katherine Weldon.
I know William Toy is my greatgrandfather and I know he married his wife in
1866 and I know they lived in McKean County.
Now I see a Katherine HARDHOUSE name as married to William Toy on that date.
Do any of you have HARDHOUSE relatives from McKean?
I know he did not marry 2 women in the same year.
I know for a fact that the Lela Vera TOY is my great Aunt.
If any of you have any insight on this, I would appreciate anyhel

I have an original handwritten deed, 1848, concerning the late Nathaniel
White and Hiram White, one of the administrators of his estate that I
will copy for an interested White descendant. It was for 11 acres in
Keating Twp, bought in 1842 from John Keating and John Roulet.

George Hitchcock was the superintendent for the Riverside Cemetery in
Norristown Pa.
I have a lot of pictures of him when he was a baby.
One is really neat, in a wicker baby carriage.
He is a relative, but I do not know how.
I think his father was Edward Hitchock and his mother was Elizabeth ? my
great Aunt... I know- strange- I do not know my great Aunts name. She was
either a TOY or a WELDON or now a new development a HARDHOUSE.
I have lists of people, their pictures and their addresses and I do not
