ZARTMAN FUNERAL
Funeral services for Carl ZARTMAN, seven months old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel ZARTMAN, Dornsife, R. D. 1,
who died at Mary M. Packer hospital Friday afternoon
from a three weeks illness with pneumonia, will be held at
2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home and continued
at St. Peter's church, Red Cross. Rev. Charles SNYDER
and Rev. Elias NOLL will officiate and interment will be
made in the Red Cross Cemetery.

Annual reunion of the SNYDER clan of upper Northumberland
county was held at Watsontown Memorial Park Saturday
afternoon.
Officers elected were as follows: Jacob SNYDER, New Berlin,
president; Simon SNYDER, Lewisburg, vice president;
Betty Jane GROSS, Northumberland, secretary; and Reno
SNYDER, Selinsgrove, treasurer.

A family reunion was held in the grove at the John THOMAS
home along the Trevorton road. An appetizing dinner was
enjoyed by all.

I think I have a picture of this guy on an attachment from my brother who got it from a ROCKWELL collection from my grandfathers things.
My grandfather mothers was a ROCKWELL.
No name is on the picture but he is standing on what looks like Sunbury's old toll bridge?

I found in 1850 living in Shamokin below
William H PERSING an Ester PERSING born about 1817 in PA she has two girls under age 5 Catherine and Martha.
Living with her is Peter SHULL born about 1771.
Below them is Jacob SHULL born about 1795 he also has a daughter Ester livng with him.
I have as his wife Mary CHERRY 1795.
I think Peter SHULL is the father of a Jacob and Esther .
I think Esther may be a widow to a son of William H Persing 1792 .

CLASS OF 1919 HOLDS REUNION
With 32 persons present, the 19th annual reunion of the Sunbury
high school graduating class of 1919 was held Sunday at the
cottage of Mrs. Mary KNOEBEL along Penns Creek, near
Selinsgrove. 15 members were included in the group.
The afternoon was spent in games and swimming. At a business
session presided over by Willard DYER, Winfield merchant,
plans were advanced for the celebration of the 20th reunion of
the class in 1939. T

Mary Ann BOWMAN
They lived in the same area as the Jesse BASTIAN family.
Mary Ann in 1850 is about 16 and soon after 1850 and after Rev J P Shindel dies she is married to Ebenezer BASTIAN / BOSTIAN.
They lived in 5th Ward Sunbury all there lives.
On what was Rail Road Ave.
In the 1850 census it gives no indication why she is living with them she is not a servant or step child etc.

STROKE FATAL TO MRS. MCINTYRE, WATSONTOWN
Mrs. Martha Jane McINTYRE, 70, of Watsontown, died at her
home Friday following a short illness. She had been visiting with
relatives near Tyrone when she suffered a stroke. She was
removed to her home Thursday and death followed.
She was a member of the Reformed church, Everready Class,
and the Missionary Society. Surviving is a son, Thomas McINTYRE
of Watsontwon, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles THOMAS of Scran

MRS. GRAY, WATSONTOWN, DIES; VICTIM OF HEAT
Mrs. Mary GRAY, 55, of Watsontown, died this morning in the
Geisinger Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient for
the past ten days. She was stricken while at work in the Wilson
Novelty Works last week, apparently a victim of the heat , and
was removed to her home and then the hospital.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Annie WATTS,

Six persons, five of them from the same family, had their tonsils
removed at Mary M. Packer hospital yesterday. The group
