I used NARA government search website to view the list of names on the

to know if my Roper/Parsons family who lived in Tracy City, TN - mid to
late 1880's, and then later moved to Indian Territory, Latimer and
Pittsburgh Counties, Oklahoma - late 1880's to early 1900's, had any

I am fairly new to researching my family history and have learned that

Is anyone researching the Parsons surname with a Minnesota or Montana

Searching for any information about John Parsons, ca 1670, who married
Sarah Ludlow. Their daughter Elizabeth (b ca 1695) married Joseph
Dibble. Did John come from England or was he born here? Who were his
parents? Can anyone help, please?
Hi Ruth!
I "daughtered out" of the Parsons line very early with the marriage of Sarah
Parsons to Luke Hitchcock at Springfield in the 1600s, but I feel kinship to
the Parsons researchers.
I think it is entirely likely that Parsons individuals moved out of
Massachusetts and Connecticut as the country opened up further west.
Particularly, I think it is possible that some Parsons individuals moved west
or south because of bounty land warrants for Revolutionary War service.

Greetings group,
As a newbie, I probably have more questions than help. I'm looking for
information on my PARSONS lineage. Listed below is all I know.
My Grandmother Speck was a Parsons and she traced her lineage back to a James.
He is said to have been born in Gloucester MA in 1805 (no exact birthdate),
died on June 8, 1860 and is buried in Allen Co. KS. He married Elizabeth

Hello Parsons list
Although I am especially interested in the New England Parsons lines, I
keep wondering if some of these brick walls in the early 1800's and late
1700's that are in VA and south are some of the descendants of the New
England Parsons lines.
Does anyone on this list have a Parsons line which originates in New
England and goes south to PA, NJ, MD, VA etc.? Most New England lines
seem to have migrated almost straight west into NYS and then toward OH
and west. Other families I have research

Hi,
I'm looking for a man named PARSONS. Mr. Parsons was born before 1860
somewhere in Georgia. He was married to a woman named Florida Missouri,
surname unknown, who was born in Georgia, in a town that might have been
Ring or Ringold. They had a daughter named Flora Parsons who was born
about 1876 in Georgia, probably Macon. Flora married Thomas Joseph Honea.
Thomas was born about 1875 in Texas, possibly in the Waco area. Thomas
and Flora were married about 1901. Their youngest son Thomas Erwin Honea

I am searching the Alexander Parsons family prior to moving from Tracy
City, TN to Pittsburg Co. and Latimer Co., Oklahoma. Alexander was married
to Letha Roper. Where were they born? Who were their parents, and where
were they from? Alexander was my mother's grandfather. My mother, Letha
Clark, was named after her grandmother.
Is there anyone on this list that might have had Parsons ancesters living
in Tracy City prior to 1900?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Anne and list,
I have looked through my Parson's stuff but with no success
to tie your Parsons in with mine. However, I do have a bit
of info that may be useful to you and others searching a
Thomas born early 1700's.
The Parsons Family Book, compiled by Chap Parsons, mentions
a book that has a "complete genealogy including wills and
descendants" on a Thomas Parsons. The time frame is not
specific, but about right for your Thomas of 1730. The
bibliography is as follows:
