My ggrandfather was born 15 Jan 1837 in Blue Hills Virginia (a census shows
E. VA.) Where is Blue Hills? Also who were his parents? Who were his
siblings? Any leads would be apprecaited.

I remember someone posting a Charles Parsons to the list. I believe
they said he was born in 1865. I have misplaced the post and have
finally found these Charles I was looking for in my notes. I also
believe the person said he was born in NC. If you are still looking for

Seeking information regarding the family of Walter Parsons and Lucy Ling
Parsons. This couple left England (possibly the Oxfordshire region) in 1885
or 1886 and went to Salt Lake City, Utah (perhaps with help from the PEFC.)
This couple had at least six children including Walter Parsons Jr., George
James Parsons, Louisia Bratnia Parsons, Mildred Parsons, Emily Parsons, Rose
Parsons and William Benjamin Parsons. These children were most likely born
in the 1880's or 1890's.

following -
John Helm Stevens (2 letters from IL & DC) Married Adelaide M. Parsons
(nurse in war) discrepancies on where they served.
He was assistant Surgeon 14th IA INF, from Maple Hill - Montour
enlisted 19 August 1862 detached to 9th IL INF discharged 16 November
1864 in Davenport, IOA. Notations on one letter saying living in
Burlington, VT 3 Jan 1865, later Cornish, VT.

around Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties, Maryland. The original as
far as I can determine was John Parsons with all data unknown except for
three sons. My line descends from son Peter Parsons, b abt 1658; Peter
Parsons, b 10 Jan 1680/81; John Parsons, b 7 Feb 1704/05; John Parsons, b 11
Sep 1736; John M. B. Parsons, b abt 1765; John Parker Parsons, b.
William Parsons came to US from England in about 1745. He m. Polly Craig and
settled first in Rutherford Co., NC, later going to SC. He had the following
boys: William, James, Robert, Solomon, Edmund (and others).Robert settled in
Grayson Co., VA; Solomon in Allegheny Co., NC. He was b. Jun. 5, 1772, m.
Lydia Sturgill, d. 1860. All of this is from Milton Parsons' bulletins which
are in the Spokane, WA Library. For further information, be aware that during
the 1790 census, ther were 21 Parsons who were heads

They lived in Cabell, VA. Then moved to Franklin, Kansas. Thomas died in Mo.

Hi all. I am still trying to get any info on my PARSONS family. Here is
what I know:
Parmelia (Rhuie) PARSONS born 26 May 1875 in what is now Pickett Co., TN.,
married Joseph Alexander CROSS. Her father was William Porter PARSONS born
1852. He was married to Sarah Adeline FERRELL. William's father was John
Cally PARSONS born 21 Mar 1825 in Carter Co., TN. He was married to A.
Caroline YOUNG. His father was William PARSONS born 5 Jun 1791 in Wilkes
Co., NC. He was married in Carter Co., TN to Lucy P
Here is my PARSONS line. According to my father, the family Bible which
had several generations of information was destroyed in a fire several
years ago so we don't have that much information to work with.
