you may be aware that work has restarted on the Pascoe One-Name study at
www.pascoeworld.net and there are now over 1000 Pascoe's and variants
listed.
You may also recall that I have started to transcribe Pascoe Births.
Marriages and Deaths between 1867 and 1983. As far as this is concerned
I have, up until now, simply been showing stats on the website. It is
clear that this will be such a long project that if I wait until it is
finished before posting to the site we may all have joined our anc

This interesting little conundrum from John Sly has been passed on to me
via Althea Barker.
"My maternal great grandfather John Eyre Pascoe was born in France in
1825 (I believe this was because it was cheaper for the family to live
in northern France than in England at this time), the second child of
his father, who, according to a family tree I inherited, was also
called John Eyre Pascoe. His mother was Ann, nee Luscombe. Unfortunately
this tree gives no dates, but I also inherited a Naval Gene

I'm in Australia, but seeking to obtain the birth certificate for an
ancestor from Cornwall. I was wondering whether anyone on the spot
would be prepared to obtain it for me (with me paying the costs, of course).
The cert I want is for William Stevens Pascoe, born in St Ives Cornwall,
in 1864-5 (he was 23 when he married in April 1888 in New Zealand) to
parents Thomas Gluyas Pascoe and Jane Pascoe nee Stevens.
Unfortunately, it's just a couple of years too early to be part of
John's project :
