1. Decker-Foote-Robinson in 1850 Lenox [1]
Were the Decker, Foote, and Robinson families on page 93 of the 1850 Lenox, Susquehanna Co,Pa census related? I especially would like to know if B.C. and Levi DECKER were related. B. C. Dan ROBINSON,brother of Elizabeth FOOTE, and his wife Clarissa SWEET, are next. Then there is Levi DECKER, 25, and his wife Mary Ann ROBINSON,22, daughter of Dan. Thanks for your h

Hello...Lakeside is also known as Page's Pond and is located in Susquehanna Co. PA. The county seat is in Montrose. There is a very good Historical Society there with good cemetery records. There is a cemetery not far from Steinback Corners (sp?) on the road to Susquehanna Borough. My sister lives in Lakeside. I'll ask her if she recognizes the names you are hunting for. 5. Copyright Question [1]
I have looked at copyright rules and have a question. I am getting an original copy of a book history of a town in Pennsylvania. This book was originally published in 1889. Now I know it is pass protection but here is the problem. The original was reprinted in 1987 by a Historical Society, does this mean I can not copy parts of original book on my site? I thought maybe someone would be able to clarify for me whether or not I could use original. Mary Jean

8. Re: Copyright Question [1]
I had to dig out my law book for this one. After reading about 3 pages (they always hide stuff in here) it states........ The most common defense that defendants interpose to exonerate themselves from charges of infringement is the "fair use" doctrine. The statute itself states that the fair use of a copyrighted work for purposes of criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research is not an infringement of the copyright. Fair use standards also include: (1) the purpose and characte
