The grandfather developed the farm on which Chauncry Aver now lives. (Ararat) Susq. Co. he died in june 1, 1844 and his wife departed 1840. Would like help on the following: David Young Avery, born 1823, Montrose, Susquehenna, Pa. I need his parents & siblings. He married a Mary ann Crippen/Criffen & had a boy, Willie J. Both of these died. He later married a Mary Ann Bucklin who was an orphan. The Patriarch of my Wheelers is John Wheeler and his wife was Lena Wheeler, they were first cousins. They had several children, no Thomas though..but my info comes from Pauline....she doesn't add people until she has documentation. Mary

Jim.. The book was published in 1900 called Commemorative Biographical Record of Northeastern Pennsylvania including the counties of Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike and Monroe. Most of the bio's are from Susquehanna and Wayne counties. A MUST have for genealogists in that area. I don't think there is a reprint. Mine is falling apart. If you know someone in that area; maybe an auction or even the Susq. Co Historical Society might come across one. Expect to pay at least $100. My cousin bought one recen

Roxie.. No I don't live in Susq. Co..my roots are there and plenty of relatives..my Aunt Loena Wheeler married my Uncle Victor Welch (my Mother's brother). She grew up in Dundaff and is the daughter of Harry and Josephine Checheurka Wheeler (they married in 1929) Is this some of your line? Janet

Check out the Plains Township Cemetary in Luzerne County. I have a copy of a bio of Sarah Kennedy Goodwin which states her father (John A.) is buried there. It might be a family plot or ground. John A married a Nancy Armstrong.
