Hello!
I'm curious as to where in TN these Pattersons lived. I've been trying to
track down my gr. grandmother, Ellen Patterson (b.1881 in the Chattanooga
area- Soddy Daisy/Sale Creek/Mowbray Mtn). Ellen also had at least 2
siblings, Charlie, and Missouri. The dates for some of your male Pattersons
make them "possible contenders" to be their father. :-)
(ok, ok, I'm desperate here, and willing to declare one the father in
absentia! It's better than my current belief that they were set down by a

Hi Jeanette,
We may not know yet what Patterson family Emily came from, but someone
found her tombstone for me, just got word this morning. On one of the
children's tombstones, it states her name was Emiline. Her obit states
Emila, and her stone says Emily.
Now that I have a DOD for Charles, maybe I can find an obit for him, in
old newspapers. His stone says he died 05/30/1914
BTW, she is buried along with her husband, Charles Edward Brann (finally
have found him!) and several children in Oak Grove, J

I am looking for Enos Perry Patterson, he may be Perry Enos. That debate is
still going on. The story is that his family had a plantation in Vir, he
went away to the Civil War, came home to nothing, went west to Mo. He moved
to Ohio and then Mo.

Hi Judy,
Sorry, I can not help with your question but your question invokes a
question from me. I have a James Patterson (Feb 21, 1827 GA - May 22, 1879
AR) that was born in GA (Census source) and apparently came to Dallas Co, AR
in the 1840s without family, I think. He lived with the Richard C. Key
family according to the 1950 AR Census. So he might have been closely
related with the Key family in GA. He also married Mary Clayton Key (Aug
29, 1833 GA - Oct 23, 1917 AR). Some of the middle names of hi

Would like to have a list of John Pattersons who married a Nancy even if
it is not Ortinger or similar spelling. The census says she was born in
North Carolina. So I guess that is where I need to start looking for
