In your research or family line do you have a Eugene Sprowls married to a Marie (don't remember the last name now)? Eugene would have been somehow related to the Duvall family of Washington Co PA (Many lived in East Pike Run Township and California)
Thanks

Hi, I am new to this list and would like to find more information on James
Mitchell and his wife Esther Gibson. I found the newspaper notice of
Esther's death 8 June 1815 on the Washington county website. It states that
they were living in Pigeon Creek. I found this location on an old map. Is
there anyone who could look in the cemetery at Pigeon Creek and see if she
and James are buried there?
Thank you,
Kathy

Has anyone ever heard of this place? Apparently it existed someplace close
enough to McDonald, Wasington Co., PA, that people would take the train
there to go to dances.
I found a mention of it in an 1893 McDonald newspaper. The reason I'm
questioning it is that my husband's family is VINCK which would be
pronounced the same way. This family lived in the Monessen, Donora, etc.
Any ideas are welcomed.
