Andrew,
A couple questions about the family you submitted.
How can Mary Margaret Keister's grandmother be only 3 years older than her?
Based on the dates given, Mary Margaret would be the sister or cousin of
George Philip, not the granddaughter.
Is there any indication who Mary Margaret Keister's parents are? (My line
decends from Mary Margaret and Peter Rugh.)

Hi:
My ggf, Walenty SOMMERFELD, died on 10 Nov 1944. He was married to
Mary JESIKIEWICZ. I am interested in finding out how to obtain his obituary.
According to his death certificate, he lived in North Scottdale, East
Huntingdon Twp., Westmoreland County at the time of his death. He was buried
at St. Joseph in Fayette County.
I would like to know what newspapers were in effect at his time of
death in order to obtain his obituary. Or if there is another way to go

I, too, came up with blank screens. I also emailed them about the
problem. They did respond saying they tried it and it appears OK for
them...said it might be a slow connection or something at my end. Glad

Does anyone have access to the 1900 Census to do a look-up for East

Hello all!
I am researching Marshall & Lindsay in this area of Pa.I am pretty
sure John & Margaret Marshall hail from Wilkinsburg in the late 1700's, but
they had a daughter Margaret (b.2-2-1828 d. 5-9-1890) who married William
Lindsay (d. 2-2-1886) and he was "from the area". Any help would be extremely
useful in storming this brick wall.

A roll call is where each person in the group posts the surnames they are
searching and a little info-dates, places etc. sort of like an update.
Nothing lengthy.
I think it's a good idea since so many names are posted at different times,
we may have missed a related searcher. The surname(s) should be listed in
the Subject line so readers can either read or delete.

I think that now, I'll be able to get them to the right cemetery, and if not

Westmoreland in the late 1700's. I have it listed as a birthplace of one of my

Hi All,
I sent this list to the Washington rootsweb because
of a discussion & thought I might at well put this

In addition to the tax lists in the Westmoreland

did not have at the time. I'll list them here, but if
anyone needs ancestor names checked in them, with no
guarantees on how much information might be found, it
can be done for you. Here & there, within the book

Yes, you are a family member. I have requested a death cert for someone
without totally knowing the relationship, so I guessed at great aunt or
something, and they sent it to me with no problem.
