My great-aunt, Lura Swartwood, married Glen FITCH b. 1917 Mill City, PA. Their oldest son is named JAMES. I don't have any information re: Glenn's parents, but he and Lura raised their family in and around Tunkhannock. He ran the Sunoco station in town, with the small penny-candy shop my children loved. I feel fairly sure that this 1850 family is related. let me know if you find out any information regards Holly Jagger KPhill2906@aol.com wrote: >Is anyone familiar with this Fitch family locate

If you happen to come across an old cemetery with any Tiffanys or Stantons in, please let me know. My wife's maiden name is Tiffany and she remembers as a child her parents driving up to the Nicholson area from Milton, PA to take care of a cemetery. She remembers it being right off of a road but not its exact location. We've been up to the Nicholson area twice this year but so fare we haven't found the right cemetery. -------Original Message------- From: S P Sent: 06/05/03 03:36 PM To

Hello Everyone, Can anyone tell me who the parents of Levi Townsend were? This is what I know about Levi: He was probably born no later than 1750. He arrived in Wyoming County (which at that time was Luzerne County) as early as 13 Mar 1795 (because on that date, Levy and Rebecca Townsend bought 100 acres of land from Benjamin Jones). He came to Wyoming County from Dutchess County, NY, after staying for a time in Sussex County, NJ. Levi died in Falls Township, Luzerne County, between 19 Feb 1827 when his

Sue - Take 11 S. toward Factoryville. At first crossroads ( there will be a small church on left) take left toward Lake Sheridan. At top of hill bear left. About 3/4 of mile you will come to dirt crossroads ( there will be a dilapidated house on left). Stay on hard road. Just past the crossroads you will find the cemetery on right. It's very overgrown. Hope this helps. Paula ----- Original Message ----- From: "S P" To: Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2003 10:56 AM Subj

Harold, I understand the problem about overgrown cemeteries, It is truly a shame. I have several that have Carpenter family members that are now in that same condition. Fortunately, there are a lot of records that also provide the needed research information. I have just transcribed a genealogy report which had a few Tiffanys and also Stanton s that resided in Abington Township, in what are now Wyoming And Lackawanna Counties. If you could give us a few names, maybe that could lead us to the elusive
