Sandra,
Don't have any information to share to help you fill out your genealogy
but didn't want you to get no reply! I know how that can be and want to
assure you that the Pennington's are a friendly group!
Best of luck

Sorry, I jumped into your territory without thinking. I receive Spam

Carolyn, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I did delete all but the first
sentence of the "ad." and I'm still mad about it! No need to
respond to this. Just between us cousins, I promise to be good from now
on. I will count to ten before I blow up. ;-)

(1) The new Latter Day Saints' CD collection sounds fabulous, and
downright inexpensive, especially when compared to the CDs compiled by
certain software companies. The total cost, including postage, is $34
for 12 CDs. However, they are not compatible with Macintosh computers,
so us Mackies will have to visit an LDS Family History Center to see
them. Each Family History Center must order the CDs; the church doesn't
automatically send them.

Please excuse the typo. How about 79?
I went over that information several times, and didn't pick up that mistake.
She was born an Alabama, her father was born in North Carolina, no state
listed for her mother, just USA.

Steve and List:
This is the link address Alice provided. I clicked on it and I connected to
the University of Virginia Electronic Card Index site. From there you can
select from a number of resources, then click on the various index cards and
then bring up digital images of the documents. It is a great site and one
that is sure to keep you busy for some time. I was just there so I know it
works.

Sandra,
I'm new to this list too, so I missed your listing of your
Pennington people. I'm here in Okla. and trying to research my husband's
Pennington lines, e-mail me if your interested, I have quite a bit of
info.
Seeking any information on a William PENNINGTON who married a Cenith Mary
GAULTNEY. She was born about 1842 and is the daughter of Carpus GAULTNEY and
Cresy SIMMONS. Her father was born in Iredell Co.,NC and died in Ashe Co.,NC.
Bill you wrote an excellent query, except you do not identify the
major area of the events you describe. From the reference to the 1861
and 1871 censuses, I deduce it is probably Canada, but if so, what

Hmmm. As a CD-ROM (and book & website) publisher, could I throw in my
$0.02 worth? The LDS discs, as wonderfully priced and potentially valuable
as they are, are produced by an organization that is tax-exempt, and which

Dear Sandra:
In an email to you from Alan Pennington there is a mention of an Oklahoma
group.
Is this a group of Penningtons living in Oklahoma? If so, who are they and
how does one contact them?
I'm interested since I live in Oklahoma.
Sincerely,
Ayvonne Roach

Mistake here... The item you want to click is "view image"... It is grouped
with view source, but you want to click on "view image"

Steve (and others):
Charles King (aka "Captain Charles King") married Charity Pennington,
daughter of Isaac Pennington. Isaac was son of Abraham Pennington,
progenitor of Group 8, who died in Berkeley Co., SC circa 1756. Charles
King is mentioned as a son-in-law in the will of Isaac Pennington, and
later in the will of Isaac's widow Mary. Regards, Rod

Need to know:
Details about a Thomas [P] PENNINGTON of Hamilton, Gore District, who
married Ann JACKSON, of Townsend Township, Norfolk County, on 12 May 1840,
according to the St. John's Anglican Church, Woodhouse Twp., marriage
Register. Who were his parents, where was he born, what was his occupation,
etc.?
What I have:
The family bible of Ann's parents names 5 children born to this union (but
doesn't give a birth place). Esther Ann (1841); Mary (1843); Thomas
(1846-1847); George (1848-1848); and Willi
