My Penny line goes back to Jonathan Penny in Kennebec County, Maine. One of his sons, Daniel, moved to Ohio and was a member of Capt. Flagg's Company in Ohio in the War of 1812. He married Sara Taylor in Washington County, Ohio, lived for a time in Morgan County, Ohio, and moved to Cass County, Indiana. I don't have the names of all his children (I believe there were 22) but some of them were Joseph Penny (my ggrandfather), Elizabeth Penny (m. William C. If I remember my Ohio geography correct, Licking Co. is by or near Darke Co.? I have a line of Pennys in Licking Co. from the 1840's to around 1860 who came from New York.
