My Penny line goes back to Jonathan Penny in Kennebec County, Maine. One of
his sons, Daniel, moved to Ohio and was a member of Capt. Flagg's Company in
Ohio in the War of 1812. He married Sara Taylor in Washington County, Ohio,
lived for a time in Morgan County, Ohio, and moved to Cass County, Indiana.
I don't have the names of all his children (I believe there were 22) but
some of them were Joseph Penny (my ggrandfather), Elizabeth Penny (m.
William C. Sturgeon, August 25, 1859), Westley Penny, Daniel P
I have a Wesley Penny that married Mary Myers in 1871, in Cass County,
Indiana. I hope we have a match.

Hi,
I am searching for Pennys that were from Ellenville, New York. They were
children of Jonathan Penny and their names were Joseph B (my ggrandfather)
Charles A., David L., Ira B. William and Carrie, who married a Vannoy.
Do any of these names sound familiar?
Thanks

Did part of this family move to Indiana? I have a Myers that married a
Penny in Cass County, Indiana, but my family originally came from Miami
County, Ohio.
