I am seeking information on the Joseph Vantile and Rosella (Spurlock) Perdue family. My emphasis is on three of the children though any other information would certainly be appreciated. Is anyone doing research or have information on William PERDUE (PURDY), born between 1695 & 1704 in either England or Ireland, came to Chester County, PA in 1738 from County Antrim in Ireland, married Susanna PIM on November 25 1747, and had two sons: Folliard Ridge PERDUE and Mentor Pim PERDUE? I'm hot on the trail of my ancestor, Richard Purdue (possibly spelled PERDUE in census) and his wife Jane Gamble. My earliest info about them is her arrival from Ireland on the ship "Genoa" in NY City on 24 March 1851. He was born in Aug 1826 and may also have come from Ireland. He died Oct 1907. They married abt. 1852 and settled in East Orange, NJ. Richard was a florist as were his 2 sons. Apparently, he was associated with the Central Brick Presbyterian Church in E.
