6. Re" Perdue in Ireland [1]
This is in response to Lewis Cherry's question about Perdue's from Ireland . My last name is spelled Purdue. The farthest back I can go in my Purdue line is Richard Purdue in the 1850's in NJ. His wife, Jane Gamble, came over from Ireland in 1851 (possibly from Armagh, Ireland). I corresponded with a lady thru e-mail who provided evidence that my Richard Purdue may have once been spelled Perdue and he may also have been from Ireland. She researched census records and found a Richard Perdue, married to Jane,

11. Stephen and Meshack [1]
Hi, The info I have is that Stephen is Meshack's grandson. Isaiah, (husband of Mildred Wingo) the son in Meshack's will is Stephen's father. (Grin) And speaking of Isaiah, does anyone have a list of his siblings and their birth dates? I have a copy of Meshack's will and I know that it lists them but a l
