Yes, he was born between Matthew and Obediah, however he is not in dad's will
of 1838

Lucinda is not in the 1850 Wayne, so later children may be from Luvenia
1850 Wayne, Isaiah Purdue 54, Luvenia 26, Sylvester 24, Almeda 7, Nancy 4,
Ellizabeth 1.

This is in response to Lewis Cherry's question about Perdue's from
Ireland . My last name is spelled Purdue. The farthest back I can go in
my Purdue line is Richard Purdue in the 1850's in NJ. His wife, Jane
Gamble, came over from Ireland in 1851 (possibly from Armagh, Ireland).
I corresponded with a lady thru e-mail who provided evidence that my
Richard Purdue may have once been spelled Perdue and he may also have
been from Ireland. She researched census records and found a Richard
Perdue, married to Jane,

Edith was NOT married to Sam,
seeking any information on MARY E.PARDUE/PURDUE. She died in 1859 in Ala. She
married John Ralston Butts and had two children that I have been able to
find. George Washington Butts b. in 1815 and Mary Catherine Butts born prior
to 1815 in Putman Co. Ga. She moved to Ala. after the death of her husband in
1815. Have been unable to find where she was born and who her parents were.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you pmarybond@aol.com

Hi,
The info I have is that Stephen is Meshack's grandson. Isaiah, (husband of
Mildred Wingo) the son in Meshack's will is Stephen's father. I have that
Stephen (husband of Elizabeth Sink) was born 1817. Meshack was born in 1756.
He would have been 61 when Stepehn was born. Unlikely age for a dad but as
we all know not impossible. (Grin) And speaking of Isaiah, does anyone
have a list of his siblings and their birth dates? I have a copy of
Meshack's will and I know that it lists them but a l
Does anyone have more info on this family, dates, spouses or locations,
thanks for your help, also where were they in 1850? dead?

Okay it is time to post again and do a little begging.
I need something on my brickwall Joseph Whittaker born 1754 at sea, parents
die at sea coming from somewhere in England. Someone (who)? took Joseph and
raised him somewhere (Where?) in North Carolina. He was bounded out to pay
passage or keep, ( any record of the bonded out part)? He marries Obedience
(Biddie) Perdue possibly in Surry County/Old Mt. Airy also marries a Camilla
Adkins, ( no records found of these marriages). I have a copy of his
