I'm searching for any info on Malissa PERDEW/PURDUE b 1867 in KY. Am searching for info on her parents...names unknown. However, I do know that Malissa lived (at age 13) with her grandparents GW & Annie (or Anna) RILEY in Caldwell Co. KY according to an 1880 Caldwell Co. census. Malissa married William Thomas NELSON on christmas day 1887 in Caldwell Co. KY. Four children: Charley W. Nelson, Robert Lee Nelson, Anna Nelson and Margaret Nelson. Any connections out there??? To All: As a Vietnam (Combat) Vet, I didn't start My Family Traceing, until abt 6 1/2 yrs ago, at that time both My parents, Aunts, Uncles, and everyone except s few cousin's which I have found are deceased. If I could do things Over, I would have started this Family research while in college, but when Young, your Not interested. This shows what happens when you depend on "what someone told me." Kentucky HB 523 does not state that genealogical records cannot be obtained as long as there are any living relatives. And anyway, isn't it "living relatives" who are doing the geneaological research in the first place?
