Hello, Does anyone know anything about divorce in Scotland at the turn of the century? How common they were, how long they took? I ask because I have a relative who married in 1898 and on both his and the wife's death certificates it says they were divorced. Which is fine and dandy until I found that he had married (for a third time!) by declaration in 1902. This seems a very quick turnaround even by modern standards and I was under the vague impression that divorces back then took a lot longer - I kno
