I am trying to connect my grt, grt, grt grandfather, Stephen Piatt with all the other Piatt's in Ohio. According to the 1820 census, he lived in Muskingum County, Ohio then...He was also in the 1812 war from Ohio. His daughter, Hannah Piatt, married William Thomas and they lived in Marion

I have installed a SPAM ARREST program on my e-mail and, for some reason beyond my understanding, I have not received any Piatt-L mail since. Has there just not been any messages on the list lately or has my SA program been blocking it?
Chris, can you send me something to see if it's getting through?

Piatts can be found in the first of the links below which have recently been
posted on rootsweb for the 1850 Boone Co KY census.
Included is the family of 83 year old Robert Piatt Sr who was born in N
Gersey [sic]. The three Knights living in this household must have been free
blacks to have been listed by name. Knight was a prevalant Quaker name in
Indiana. I believe there are three Piatt households found on the pages of
the first link.

The Joseph Piatt in the picture must be another Joseph, possibly an uncle of
Joseph H., because the Joseph H. is not old enough to have been in the Class
of 1932. He may know who it is and will probably contact you about it.

In the small world department:
Dallas PA is in Luzerne Co and is just a few miles outside Wilkes Barre where
the son of "our" Joseph Piatt, originally of Greene Co PA, lives.
Joseph Piatt of the picture must be a part of the Luzerne/Columbia Co
Piatts. One of the Piatts from these parts would certainly be a welcome
addition to our DNA study.

Chasing Dead Relatives
Does anyone on the list know of a Reverend Robert Piatt, probably in his 70's, who was once located in Canton, OH?
I recently received a phone call from a Thomas Marion who knew him in the service, I think, and thought he had a church in Canton, OH, at one time. If anyone knows of this Piatt's whereabouts, I will contact Mr. Marion with the information. He is very anxious to get in touch with Robert.

He's got to be a Piatt, is only one not paying attention :)
