Does anyone have info on the death of Hannah, who was the first wife of John Livingston Piatt b 1809, son of Jacob and Esther Piatt of Butler, OH/Henry, IL? She had I believe three children, Wycoff, Esther and Jacob, and died sometime between 1840-1844, but I would like to know where she died and

Hannah Hileman was born to unknown parents about 1814 ini Hamilton, Butler Co OH. (Surely a check of the 1820 census would provide clues to her parentage.)
She married Jacob Livingston Piatt in 1834 in OH and died in March 1842 in Weller Township, Henry Co I

Yes, it does, thanks! I am coming from the other end. I have Hannah back three generations on all sides, but did not know where she went to! She was (I strongly believe) the daughter of John Hileman and Peggy Beaver, who lived near to Jacob Piatt in Butler County, OH. Is she buried at the

The Piatt Family Newsletter, Volume 9, 1994 gives the following information on the family of John and Elizabeth Keezy Piatt. There are twelve children known to this family but there is room for others who may have died young. I'll post this for comparison to what you have:

If Hannah Hileman Piatt died in 1842 in Henry Co IL, I would think that she is buried there, but have no proof. Just a hunch.
As to Piatts buried in Butler Co OH, I have no cemetery records from that county at hand. However, Butler Co is a great place to do genealogy. Vital records have been moved to a Records Cen

I have come up with 15 children for John & Elizabeth Cazey/Keysey/Keesey PIATT by compiling the 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860 & 1870 & 1880 census.
This family was mainly in Ohio, Monroe Co., Center Twp./Perry Twp.
In 1880, John (Pyatt) was 83 yrs old & his wife Elizabeth was 77 yrs. old and they were living in OH, Wash
Some interesting items related to Piatt have come up on ebay in the past few days:
1. Item 3571516377: Blue Grass Horse County, a book which contains a picture
of horse breeder Thomas Piatt sold for $87.50.
2. Item 2366169628: Sheet music "Oh! Sing No More That Gentle Song" by D
Piatt, 1847, sold for $5.50 (to me). I promise to have Ed learn the song and
sing it at the next conference. The sheet music came from a large collection
"in upstate New York." I don't yet know who D Piatt was.

Bob,
I would love to see your correspondence and the Wash Co... Piatts. My maiden
name was Piatt and I grew up in Washington, Pa. I haven't figured out if I
belong to the group that you are talking about. The farthest that I can trace
back is to Amos Piatt. I think my line goes like this Amos-Thomas
Ingram-Thomas Latham - Walter - John Robert. I might have the Thomas in the wrong order.
I was doing it from memory, never a good idea.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Uh-o , my spouse keeps telling me it the "inbreeding' :)

Piatts/Pyatts,
I have a 1784 Wash. Co. will abstract for Jacob Pyeatt. It mentions his
wife Eliz.; sons Jacob (oldest), Benj., Jas., Thos. & Robt. & daugs.
Rebecca, Rachel, Mary, Dina, Susanah & Eliz.. There's no mention in this
abstract of the daugs'. surnames.
On the 1786 Wash. Co. Tax List for Peter's Twp. I find an entry for the
widow Pyatt. On the 1790 Wash. Co. census I found an Eliz. Piate 2-0-1.
This census tells me that by 1790 all of the daugs. are either dead or md..

Hi Christi,
To date there has been no information to connect Jacob Piatt and Amos Piatt.
Jacob Piatt descended from PA. Piatts and Amos descended from VA. Pyotts.

The above is a link to the cemetery listings of the Piscataway Graveyard in
Edison NJ where some of our early Piatts are buried. This is a lengthy
listing with many associated names--Dunham, FitzRandolph, Stelle and more.
This listing was posted to Rootsweb.com a few days ago.
If the link doesn't work copy and paste it into your browser.

Piatts,
As Laverne pointed out, I've just discovered that I probably tie into
the Piatts. I'm pretty sure that each of you will not want to see our
correspondence on our bunch unless you descend from them. If any of you
descend from our bunch, e:mail Laverne or myself, tell us how you tie in &
we'll include you in our e:mails. This may be old news, but in case it
isn't, I've found a book on the Piatts that may answer some questions for
you.

Yes, Robin, this is the same graveyard. This is the stone for Thomas Pyaat.
I believe the same stone or one very similar was used in a book on local
history because of the expertise of the stonecutter. When some of the Piatt
researchers were there in 2001 parts of the cemetery where the Piatt markers
were was beginning to be overgrown and needed a good trimming. But overall
the cemetery is still reasonably well kept and the church is still standing.

Sorry not to have answered your e-mail of last week as yet. Perhaps it would
be just as well to post the information here for the archives.
Jacob Piatt (Pyeatte, also called Jacob Piatt III) died in Washington Co PA in

earlier on 26 Aug 1780. The will is on file in the office of the Prothonotary
in Washington Co PA. But the will was copied into the Will Book, possibly at
the time it was proved, so what i

Just got an email from a gentleman in Arkansas (I think) who aparantly has
matched my dad's Y DNA. Ive asked for more information but in the meantime,
are there any Pyatt/Piatt/Peyatt cousins out there with a Brown connection?
I know there were Browns in Nicholas County, WV. Also, interestingly, the
database shows a Brown who fathered someone who married my Great Grandpa..
Gotta get on some folks in my line about getting tested!
There is of course the possibility that this is a mistaken connection on t

Also there is a photo of the headstone of Thomas Pyatt on the www

he says this stone is in the Piscatawaytown Burial Ground. Is this the same
