There is another McCormick/Piatt marriage in Arkansas that is contemporary Martha Ann Piatt (B 1878) and Dorse Newton McCormick(B 1866) m 1902 in Arkansas) and Mary Ann traces back to Major Jacob Piatt and Margaret Finley (Who also fathered Peter P) So Im wondering what is the relationship between William Alphonzo and Captain Jacob....and how all of this might tie into a legal document I have.
