Robin and other interested researchers, This person is another one of those confusing issues, however, my thoughts are this family is not to be confused with James PIATT, born 1734, married secondly to Zena KING. We have, Rene PIATT who had son Thomas PIATT (1681-1706/07) married to Mercy HULL. Mercy married secondly Rev. Benjamin STELLE. Thomas and Mercy PIATT is listed as having five children, but I only know of four; Mercy married to Ephraim DRAKE, Mary married to Eliphalet JONES, James married

Robin-of 5/7/2006 email- Your questions 1& 4 - You are correct regarding John Hopper Piatt. You state James Pyatt married to Elizabeth STEELE. Correct is Elizabeth STELLE. James, 1734-1800, son of James and Ruth (DRAKE) PYATT, first married Elizabeth STELLE (1742-1780) and secondly married Mary Magdalena (Lena) KING in 1782. Mary Magdalena KING was first married to Peter MOELICH (MELLICK) who died in 1779. It was thought the King/Mellick marriage had children and it has been questionable if

Am working my way through the WW1 Draft registration cards for Piatts and ran across this character. He was born 17 Feb 1893 in Alicia, Arkansas and registered in 1917 while and inmate in the Arkansas State Pen. Says he has a wife and a sister who is under 12 years old.
