1. Re: [PIATT] p.s. regarding where Peter P. PYEATT resided in the 1860's [1]
Hi, Sharolynn, I no longer participate in active research in the Piatt/Peyatt/Pyatt etc families, but noticed your e-mail. Marianne came to my home and got some of my material a few years back, but I haven't been in contact with her recently. What I wondered is which of John Thomas' 5 children do you descend from? My source is from the 1900 (Logan)Ok. Crescent town and twp. census. None of this family is connected to mine, but I participated in the Piatt Family newsletter for 12 years. I'm almost 80, an
2. [PIATT] single room rate, 2004 Piatt Conference [1]
When I posted information about the 2004 Piatt Researchers Conference I failed to include rates for a single room. Single rooms are $30.00 per person per night. Double rooms are $20.00 per person per night (or $40 a night for the room) Sorry for any inconvenience this omission has called. -- Laverne Ingram Piatt Ontario, OH lapiatt@.att.net piatt.la@verizon.net
3. [PIATT] Peter P. Pyeatt (son of James Pyeatt & Catherina Finley) and his son, James P. [1]
It seems that there is some confusion regarding the place of Peter P. Pyeatt's death & burial and regarding whether Peter's son, James P. & his wife Mahala Neal ever had any children. Since I have photos of his headstone and the probate records, I thought we might be able to eliminate some of the confusion if I were to share some of the photos and documents which indicate that he was living in Jackson Twp., Polk Co., Missouri at the time of his death. I also planned to share a photocopy of the census rec

7. [PIATT] p.s. regarding where Peter P. PYEATT resided in the 1860's [1]
I forgot to mention that if you have access to the 1880 census (either by means of Ancestry.com or through FamilySearch.org), their last name has been misspelled. They have it listed as PYEATH (yes, that's an H on the end). They are listed as living in Jackson Twp., Polk County, Missouri. If you check there, you will see that the children, Peter, Jr. & Lena Rebecca are listed as being born in Illinois. Good luck!! Sharolynn P.S. Marianne, my e-mails with the attached photos were returned to me as un
