1. Date preference for PIATT Researchers Conference? [1]
Traditionally the PIATT Researchers Conference has been held the last full week of June. Tradition has also kept the conference east of the Mississippi River. At last year's conference, I was asked to explore the possibilities of holding the 2005 conference in Salt Lake City. At the same time, a few attendees asked if it would be possible to move the conference forward one to two weeks. Holding the conference in Salt Lake City turned out to be easier than I had anticipated. Housing and proximi
2. Date for 2005 PIATT Researchers Conference [1]
Okay, I've locked in a date for the conference based upon those who responded with data preferences. The week selected is June 5th-11 and as stated before this conference will be held in Salt Lake City. In discussions with the university, they will send me a contract in December. At that time, I will have 30 days to sign it. I don't think that I will be required to pay anything at that time, however. Thanks for all of your interest and support. Sharolynn Pyeatt Orem, UT 84097
3. Re: [PIATT] Date preference for PIATT Researchers Conference? [1]
Hi Sharolynn; From a "West Coaster" who is planning to attend for the first time. My first choice would be the week of July 12 but any of those weeks would be just fine. I'm just looking forward to it! Marion Williams Keefer, Beaverton, OR

We do not have any preference for the conference and will go along with whatever date you finally choose. At this time I do not know if my brother will be well enough to attend. Mary and Dick Piatt, PA.

6. Surname spellings [1]
Dick, Thank you for taking the time to put together the list of the different spellings for this surname. I would like to add Peayett to your list. This is the spelling that I found a few of my family members in the 1930 census. Thanks again. Dotty researching Layton, Peyatte, Skaggs, McClung, Parish, Sifers, O'Brien and Young surnames.

Hi Nancy and Gene, Isn't it wonderful to go away but always a return home is great. Welcome home. Dick Piatt, PA.
8. Re: [PIATT] Date preference for PIATT Researchers Conference? [1]
For Sharolynn, June 5th-11th June 19th-25th (the traditional week) June 12th-18th is my order of choice. We have a family birthday on the 16th, but she's a big girl now. Some attendees who might want to make a trip of it might also consider taking the train. The trip from Denver to San Francisco, though Salt Lake City, might be the most beautiful in the US. -- Laverne Ingram Piatt Ontario, OH lapiatt@att.net
