Thank you for pointing this out. Possibly, the email application truncated
the last letter in the subject line.

According to the map I have from the library, the name is spelled Wola
Ociecka, at least the town right above Ocieka. Could there be another one that is
spelled without the a?

Hi Karen,
My ancestors came from Ocieka, just below Wola Ociecka. Chances are they
attended the church in Ocieka since I do not see a church in that village. I
honestly don't remember seeing that name when I was looking a parish records
but then again I was focused on my surnames.
Thanks,
Kathy in southern California (remember, PAY IT FORWARD!)

Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your reply. When you mention looking at records, are these
church records available from FHL?
Can you tell me if this area was part of Galicia in 1877?
With best regards,

Is anyone doing research for the village of Wola Ociecka, a tiny village NNE
of Debica? I am searching for the parents/family of Joseph Malczynski, born
there about 1877; immigrated to US in 1907, and settled in Newark, NJ.
Many thanks!

You need to be careful of your spellings, especially when you are seeking
assistance from others.
In the subject line you say Wola Ocieck while in other parts of your note
you wirte Wola Ociecka.
Errors like this could take you down the wrong path or influence others to
pursue areas for you in vain.

Karen,
You'd be surprised the amount of parish records from Poland they have. Go to
the link below, then to place search, then type in Ocieka.
