Hi. I am researching my family of POWIS and hope someone will recognise the names I have and match up. My grandfather was William Powis b.1875 Walworth Surrey d.1957 Enfield, Middlesex. He had a sister Eliza Mary b.1870 William married Alice Ann Pendreigh Fullerton b.1876 d. 1932 at Newington London in 1895 and had 7 children. A handwritten family genealogy for my 19C Mansell's has a Caroline POWYS as a sponsor (Godmother) in 1857, her maiden name may have been BISHOP, which was a maiden name in one of the MANSELL marriages. IGI has a Caroline Bishop marrying Spencer Percival POWYS in London in December 1857 - the marriage is not on FreeBMD yet, although an earlier marriage for Spencer (Cambridge 1841) is on FreeBMD. Hi Tim I have a few POWIS relations, although I'm pretty sure they're are not connected to your POWYSES (actually they don't seem to be connected to anyone but me) Here they are are.
