The Quaker Meetings in Australia have not ever had a pastoral system. The
Devonshire Street Meeting House was not in existence until the early 1900s, its
predecessor was on the site on the nearby Central (Railway) Station for Sydney
and the land had been a compulsory acquistion by the Government. In return the
site at Devonshire Street was given for a new meeting house in the early
1900s.

This is the title, but there is more to it,
The pages I copied in winter 1992 were from the copy at the LDS Family
History Library in Salt Lake City.
My notes say that it was published (republished?) by the Higginson Book
Company and note Earlham College Library, perhaps that is where they found a
copy of the original book.
The Higginson Book website lists:

Hello,
I am hoping someone on the list is researching the HOAR family of
Lancaster and Chester Counties, PA. I'd like to share information and learn
if there are any records that can be accessed, so if there is anyone on the
list who thinks they can help, I'd like to hear from you. I am very new at
Quaker research.
Thank you,

Maybe this might help. I made notes on Wrights in HINSHAW last week and
because we also have a Mercer Brown I copied the citation. Then I read your
note.
Vol I of Hinshaw, pg 583, New Garden MM
1767,10, 31 Elizabeth Brown (form Wright) dis. mou. The dates seem to fit.
This was listed under Wright.
A lot of our family married widows. Our Peggy Holiday who married Nathaniel
Hollingsworth was the widow Holliday, but born BROWN.
Maybe we're working on the same line.

Sarah M. Richards b. 1834 was most likely the daughter of Jacob Richards and Sarah B. Taylor of Richardsmere, Cecil Co., Md. Sarah M. would be a distant cousin of Sarah Ann Richards.

Good morning.
Am hoping someone has data on the descendants of Eli and Absilet Woodard Maddock, particularly the families of:
Benjamin Franklin Hill and spouse, Rachel Maddock, b. 1852. Had they any children?
A Mr. Snedeker and spouse, Jane Maddock, b. abt 1838. I've a marriage date, but no confirmation or first name for Jane's husband and would like to know who he was. Where there other children besides Orlando?
David Maddock, b. 1836 and spouse, Jane H. Mills. For this family I'd like to know of any m

I'm looking for anyone or anything on these two people. We know that they
was in Jefferson Co., around 1810 to 1830. we aren't sure if Able Ballenger
stayed around or if he died before 1830. Alcie/Ally Trogdon was the
daughter of Ezekiel Trogdon and both of them was Quaker at least for a
while. If anyone can help me with this line please write to me at:

I don't have much to offer. My husband desc. from John Pike and Jacob
Overman to son Ephraim.
John Pike had a sister named Miriam who married Benjamin White and died at
45 in 1788. There just might be a connection to this Miriam or to John
Pike's other children. I have that Rachel was Rachel Bundy Small. This from
a desc. of hers. Can't verify it.

According to A History and General Catalogue of Westtown Boarding School,
published about 1872, there are two Sarah Richards. There is a Sarah M. and
Sarah H. Sarah H. was in the first thousand (691), from Philadelphia,
11th month 1807; probably not yours.
In the fifth thousand (149), Sarah M. Richards, from Nottingham, MD, 4th
month 1848. Also probably not yours. There were other Richards but no
other Sarahs. There are some Richardsons.

Your cousin may have more homework to do. A quick check
does NOT show a Robert Jackson as head of household in
Parke co,IN in Census of 1850, as one might expect with a
son born in 1839. Looking at the sparse Jackson entries in
Parke co,IN, I cannot believe that the family sought came to
Indiana prior to the Civil War.
Further, there are NO mentions of any Jackson families in
Bloomfield MM or Rush Creek MM (both Parke co,IN meetings)
prior to 1885. In 1885 Elwood Jackson of Monroe c
Just thought I might be of a little help to those searching the Large

immigrant William Large came with the first settlers of Hingham, MA from
Hingham of old England, and that he was a weaver. I've tried to find his
wife's maiden name but with no success yet. Think the family may have
been from France.

wife's name either, although they wereboth Elizabeths. The fam
